I am still awaiting NO HOLDS BARRED (1989) that is the one movie that will more than anything help me choose where my alliance is cemented
I totally saw Prom Night in a bargain bin the other day, or maybe it was a used store. I know it's out there.

I don't even think that could be close to being true.  While the most famous movies in the studios back catalogs are available, for the most part, there are more unreleased movies than there are released movies.  Some of the movies have been previously available but are OOP.  There are still movies that I buy in laser disc because it is easier to get than the OOP dvds, if they were ever available.

Movies I'm still waiting for on DVD:

This Island Earth
El Cid
Prom Night
Baby Face
Night of the Creeps
She's Gotta Have It (Director's Cut)
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (Roadshow)
Two Girls and a Guy (NC-17 cut)
Day of the Triffids (widescreen)
Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh's version)
Peter's Friends
The African Queen

I'm sure there are more.

Yep, they've milk us for all its worth.  MOOOO!
Hence, why both formats will flop like a fat kid in a swimming pool Wink
Well  "Hollywood"  needs to understand somethings. Most of us do not have HD-TV sets. So why would we buy an HD-DVD player.  Also the studios need to make better movies. If I want to buy "The Omen" come this Halloween time I will get the ORIGINAL.

That's true, bit strange.
Throughout the entirety of that article they insisted on spelling DVDs as DVD's. You'd think they'd know better.
Yeah, those things are hell to sort through, but a few stores are actually starting to place the bargain discs on kiosks in the electronics section. Lord help you if you want something that's on the bottom of the pile, 'cause the employees sure as hell won't.
