So to recap you bought some DVD's but you haven't 'watched them today' because they are still in the post. What's the matter with you? There are rules to this thread. DVD's bought but in the post don't count. Are you mental? As an aside why do people insist on telling people what they've got on order, from where and for how much. And how clever they are for getting it a quid/dollar cheaper than anywhere else. Is this what we've become. Please there must be more to it than this.
Last DVDs I bought were Hostage, Jaws 30th Aniversary, and Casnio Aniversary Edition (but that is still backordered at circuitcity.com so it still didn't ship yet). Ordered them from circuitcity.com. Should have Hostage and Jaws tomorrow or Friday.
The last DVD I bought was Rebel Without A Cause: 2 disc special edition, The last dvd I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still, Excellent film.

I just ordered a copy of "Freaked" on DVD today. I love this film, it's hysterical. I have the VHS R2 version, hope this one is of better quality.
Anchor Bay does a good job with their releases. I have that R2 tape too and am so ready to retire it! I've watched it so many times its about to snap...

I found a used store here in the Twin Cities area that was trying to get rid of stuff.
Got T3 for 2.50
Freddy V Jason for 3.50
and The Devils Backbone for 5.00
On top of this they were all 25% off. I just couldn't help myself.
here's their website, but ordering off the internet is never as much fun as wandering the physical store.

AvP. Yes I know don't start. Got it for £8 at MVC as part of their buy one get 2nd half price promo. I thought I couldn't keep kicking this film without actually seeing it any more. Verdict? As expectation was so low, I thought it was extremely beige but not worth the drubbing or indeed the attention it received.
bought: ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13
will buy: THAT 70's SHOW S1

At future shop here in canada. Best Buy owns them. Best Buy's around here had some sort of squishy ball I think, so I went with the tin instead.
The front of the tin has a giant red incredibles logo on it.

The Incredibles is the best release of the year so far...video and audio are top notch and the extras are a lot of fun with plenty of easter eggs to be found...and that's on top of what a great movie it is to begin with.

Last week I watched my recently received Oldboy and Zatoichi DVDs. Oldboy was fantastic, a great aural experience and finally a thriller with a twist I didn't see coming a mile away (I hate how predictable recent Hollywood thrillers are).
Re-watching (had originally seen in theatres) this excellent with a top-notch DTS5.1 track was truly awesome. Kitano = God.
Rented Unforgiven. (I'm running out of verbs
) Masterly acted, excellent film. WAY better than the highly overrated Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby.

Yeah, Heat's a cracking film. One of the last Michael Mann films I liked too. Saying that, Collateral wasn't bad - although it went a bit naff at the end!
