Yeah, Anderson mentioned something about this back when Alien vs. Predator was making the rounds. I agree, it's his best movie, but take that for what it's worth...it is Paul W.S. Anderson afterall.

Wha...?!?! What does one have anything to do with the other? Might as well compare Event Horizon to Lawrence Of Arabia if you are going to compare it to a better, totally unconnected film...

Matrix is completly different it's like comparing The Matrix to Starman.

Yes there both science fiction movies, but are both different in style, plot, and story telling.

I saw this years ago and didn't think much to it at the time, it freaked me out a bit which is pretty hard for a film to do that to me so it is one I'd give a second chance to just to get freaked out again.

The Black Hole, The Thing, Solaris, I know it's not a Sci Fi, but Hellraiser does have the same theme but set on Earth (well Hell as well).
