Anybody seen it and is it good? I was thinking of buying it on the 12th March

Yes it's good, but I don't think it really deserved the praise heaped upon it by Mark Kermode when he reviewed it.
Hi I'm new to the forums. Been a long time reader here. Anyway, I loved the film. The best of 2006. I advise that you check it out. Also, where is it coming out on the 12th of March?
It hasn't shown here, but I do have high hopes for it. Del Toro's spanish language movies have been better than his english ones.
Thanks Mal
And ya the Spanish in the film is great to listen to. I think if it was dubbed it would take away a lot from the movie.
I'll pick it up then, along with the (delayed) Peter Pan release, any word on extras?
it looks a Regular edition . is there any better edition ?
I don't think so unfortunatly
S'all right. Not enough explosions and Deloreans.
This film is up for Best Picture! I think it won some Critics Association award for Best Picture.
There is also Guillermo Del Toro collection available. It contains Pan's labyrinth, Cronos, The devil's backbone. It's great for those who don't have any of these movies.

Does Play.com ship to the U.S?
Nope. You'd be better off using one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pans-Labyrinth-Doug-Jon...
http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk/dvd/7000000120689...
(make sure you can play Region 2 PAL discs)

So both of those ship to US? Cool. And ya I have a region free player. Thanks again, Mal
And on that Benson's World it says Released on 12/3/07 so is it out there already?
British date format is D/M/Y - so that's March. They both ship to the US, if you are concerned about price then Benson's World has the cheapest international delivery charge but Amazon apparently removes the 17.5% tax for orders outside Europe.
I see. Thanks again
and if it was M/D/Y it still wouldn't be out since it would be 3rd December 2007
It's not opening here in Minesota until the 19th. Damn.
I found the following news that would make you fans of this movie happy!
New Line Home Entertainment will release Pan's Labyrinth on May 15th. The mind-bogglingly beautiful film arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 EX, 2.0 Surround and DTS-ES 6.1 tracks as well as English subtitles. The two-disc Platinum Series set will include an audio commentary with director Guillermo Del Toro, a making-of documentary, "The Power Of Myth," "El Fauno y Las Hadas," "The Color and The Shape," "Pre-Release Making-of," "Director's Notebook" featurettes, Del Toro's "The Charlie Rose Show" appearance, storyboards, galleries and more. Retail is $28.98.
DTS! How cool is that? For those considering import from the U.K., you might want to wait for a better quality - hence the DTS!

Hmmm... New Line, I was thinking that it would end up as an HBO Home Video release since it has the Picturehouse logo.
DTS doesn't automatically equal better quality.
I'm late showing up to this discussion, but just saw the film Thursday. Loved it despite how incredibly mis-hyped it was.
Bloody-Disgusting had no business covering this.

I just saw the movie on Monday. I can not say enough good things about this movie. I just hope that the USA doesn't do a remake!
I wouldn't worry too much about a remake, it's already pretty popular in the US.
