Check out my review, there's a link to my sponsor who carries a R0 NTSC version. The subtitles are a little wonkey, but it's pretty solid otherwise, and it's perfectly legal, not a boot leg. The movie was released in Russia last summer and DVD this past winter.

Wow.  Lucky.  But Daywatch is avaliable on R2?  I thought it came out in Russia this summer?

I loved it so much, I bought it the week it came out on dvd!  Saw in the theater and thought it was super fun, couldnt understand all the complaints on it.  Sure it wasnt perfect, I wanted more out of it too at times.  But overall it was f'ing incredible.

The realization of the world cereated was one of the most engaging things about the film.  There are rules set up about how things work (magic, vampires, choosing sides, etc) that help navigate the plot, story, clues and so on.  All the casting were great fits, the main character Anton is was awesome.  And the biggest surprise - production value.  Everything from the cgi & fx, make-up, The Gloom (you'll know when you see it) to cinematography and locales were top notch.  Even the soundtrack was fitting.  Plus they did something I'ver never seen in a subtitled film.  The effects and interaction of the subtitles with what was happening on screen was unprecidented.  Its a little hard to explain, but the subtitles were wove within the movie and would be different colors, size, font, relay, etc depending on what was called for on-screen.  Just so much easier to follow (cause you definately have to pay attention) and overall enjoyable.

Is it the most original?  No.  Still not the ultimate fantasy/vampire flick, but no question one of the best to date and a proud add to my collection!! Wink

Others might have the same problem and see this, so should be helpful... although a certain percentage will of course laugh. Wink

I bought Night watch (R1) today, unwrapped, popped in - English DUB.  Ok no prob, go to menu and fix.  Cant.  No option to watch in original format with Russian laguage.  Spanish, French or English dub only!!!  That is so fuc*ing weak if its true.

Please, someone enlighten me to what I'm missing.  I cant watch a dubbed foreign film.  Its like going to the strip club and not getting a dance.
