To use my favourite quote, these movies needed a lot more gore and a lot less verbinski...
your quite right
seriously,if anyone liked this film there is something wrong with them, it seemed to drag on for far to long, I was bored after the seconed hour, the only good thing is when they say that there hasn't been a gathering like this for centuries and then sparrow say's and I owe them all money, lol still funny now. but apart from that it is pooh, I'd rather watch spiderman 3....decent film...

yes i agree the bit where he walks down that path was really good
And while I'm ranting, what was the deal with Calypso? All the way through the thing it was all Calypso this and Calypso that and all bout setting her free...and when they did....(anticlimactic) maybe I missed something but I was left feeling like that aspect was rather unresolved.
Tried hard and failed I thought. But I agree on the FX, they were fantastic. That shot of that chappie (name escapes me) walking down the steps as everything is being blown to bits around him was excellent.

How much do you want to bet that Disney will make a huge dvd deluxe box set of all 3 movies
it was a little too long. I enjoyed it. It isn't the best sequel I have seen this year. I loved Die Hard 4 more.

I was actually at a DVD preview for Pirates 3 the other day, but I had to sign a NDA so I can't talk about it, wink wink, cough cough
