Don't bother looking for a R1... you'll need to import a release, and if your player is R1-only, then make sure the import is NTSC and region-free.

There's a region free release, isn't there?

In any case, I was in a video store today here in good ol' Canada, and they had it there, so I can assume it was either region free or region 1...
