Here's my DVD collection. It's not as big as everyone elses but I'm still working on it. I'm still rying to finish the LOTR trilogy and get series 3 of the original Star Trek.

Same here! I still have lots of Star Trek DVD's to catch up on my collection - Voyager and ST: Enterprise, plus lots of my old faves - Hunter, Doogie Howser, Charlie's Angels, etc.

I have now got rid of those movies in my collection that I should not have bought in the first place!
Puffy you have a great set of movies Many of them I own.

looks really good! I give it an 8/10. My only complaint is I think you could use some Kurosawa in your collection. I don't recall seeing very many foreign movies at all, but all of Kurosawa's criterions are essential to a serious collector's dvd collection. I give you mad props for having all those tv boxsets, those must have cost a fortune! I have a ton of tv boxsets on my wishlist, but am currently buying movies right now, and plan on getting those at the end.

Here's mine. Several guilty pleasures and some I got for free.

ashxking = I get my movies from my local videostore. I get them at list price, but usually they have deals like a "Buy Two, Get 1 Free". I also get my films a Thursday early usually, but they can come on the Friday or Saturday, even Monday.
Wow You must be very well loved at Where you get you movies from, Ill say 7.

The remake of Assault on Precinct 13 was great, wasn't better than the original, but it was still worth a watch.
About your Collection Mark:

i would say.......quite good set I think......many "off-brain" movies-perfect for nice evening with beer Happy
some great classics like "Godfather"...some great movies like "Collateral"; "Titanic SE"; "Star Wars Box"

on the other hand some streange pick...like "Wonder Women"; "Scooby Doo"; "Alias"

I rate it 8,5/10.......good collection

P.S. how about mine....it's not big( but missing some 40 DVD's listed couse I couldn't find them on DVDSpot...mainly Polish movies) ??? Happy
Mr Flix,

Your collection is really, really GOOD!! Even though there's many which I haven't seen, I can't see anything bad there. Maybe one or two, but overall, I'm impressed. And you've given me some ideas on what to buy for my collection. Thanks! So I'm giving you 9/10!
How's my collection looking?

I'm currently branching into old classics like "The Great Escape" and fun Doris Day, Audrey Hepburn movies so my mom can watch. Any suggestions would be great.

In fact, I would love to hear suggestions on must have movies on dvd pre 1980.

6/10
A fair amount of bad films(Maid in Manhattan, Stealth, Bringing Down The House, Deuce Bigelow 2, XXX, Bruce Almighty, Bad Boys II) but also plenty of good as well,
take out all the chick and action flicks and you'd have one of the best collections on the site.

The two only mistakes I can think of right now are Deuce Bigalow 2 and Beauty Shop. Otherwise, I really like all the other action and chick flicks, especially "Maid In Manhattan" since I work in the same field, but in a 4 star Hotel, in the Restaurant as a Bartender.
Ali G isn't funny (it's entertaining when I was like 13)
Armageddon is one of the worst movies ever made (IT'S A COMEDY)
What the Hell was the point of remaking Assult on P 13? (it's a decent remake)
Austin Powers was c**p (3 and 2 is)
Back to the Future is so overrated (1 is)
Boondock Saints is only worth watching once (AGREE 500% of it's possible)
Bram Stoker's Dracula was a muddled mess (yes and no)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was an empty shell and worthless (Disagree)
The Day After Tomarrow is insulting (entertaining
Die Another Day was garbage (it's a fun bond flick)
Donnie Brasco was overrated (disagree)
Ok Ian, just so you understand how subjective this whole thing is, I'll tell you which of your DVDs are c**p in my opinion, but pretend that my opinion is fact.

Dungeons and Dragons? Really now?
I could go on, but why bother.

See what I mean? I have no right to tell you what movies you should own. It's your money and your pleasure.

huh? all of ares? Don't you mean all of ours? There are spelling mistakes and there are english language problems...

Some c**p(Along Came Polly, Basic, Batman and Robin, Bringing Down The House, Bruce Almighty)
but pretty good otherwise.

In my defense, I only have Batman & Robin because it was in the boxset(in the commentary Joel Schumacher apologizes for the movie) and Basic was a gift (I still haven't watched it).  I have a lot of guilty pleasures in there but I really liked Bruce Almighty and Bringin Down The House.
First of all, it's not a contest. Second of all, Matt still wins by a pretty massive margin.

My collection is in my sig, some c**p from my younger years, but it isn't terrible.
8/10 - You have an awful lot that you give low ratings to and say are dissapointing.  Why do you have them?

Here's mine.  Not great, I know.
I'll give it a 7/10
