A number of those titles are available pretty cheap in the discount bins at Walmart. A number of them seem doubtful to me... The only one I know for sure is getting a new release is "Bladerunner." The "True Lies" rumor has been around the net as well. I too would like to see a re-release of "Moonstruck" in anamorphic widescreen. I refuse to buy the existing version.
can you maybe give a link to any news about re-release of Bladeruner Aron ????
I'm not holding my breath on a comprehensive Blade Runner SE.
I keep almost buying the s**tty version available because it's so damn cheap, but the false hope of an SE keeps me waiting. That and that it is a pretty s**tty edition.
Yeah, the DC currently available has a pretty bad video transfer, but in all fairness it's a pretty old one in terms of DVD. I'd actually be happy at this point with just a re-release of the DC with a new transfer, Ridley Scott commentary, an isolated Vangelis score, and a few featurettes. I've still got my Criterion LD with the international theatrical cut floating around the house, so I could do without a disc and version of the film that Warner doesn't have the rights to distribute for a while, I just wish they'd fix and add to what they do have the rights to.
Matt, there are tons of Bladerunner DVDs in the Walmart Discount bins for $5.50. So it looks like a re-release is coming. As you said, what form it takes is anyone's bet.
In a moment of weakness I almost bought it from Walmat this weekend. Then I realized I was in a Walmart and ran out before my soul was swallowed.

You should have destroyed the heart. It's in the back near the big screen TVs.
There were too many people in there...they were watching me...
So, does that mean a stake needs to be driven through my heart for padding my DVD collection at Walmart? I have a serious DVD addiction and every dime I can save helps.
Someone has to stop the evil from spreading, I just bought Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man from the $5.50 rack earlier today on my way to the checkout line.
But back to Blade Runner, I wouldn't necessarily connect it being in the cheap bins to a new edition coming out. It's been readily available for under $10 for a few years and besides, there are plenty of other movies in those bins that haven't been re-released...like Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man.

Remastered/Special Treatment?

I'd love to see Contact get some special treatment. How about a sequel too. But I don't have your answer.

The "Blade Runner" special Edition is in the works
He says without citing a source...

The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen
NEEDS SEs

I'd like to see these two get SE. The first one was a surprise Romantic Comedy Hit!!
While You Were Sleeping (current edition no 5.1, or behind the scenes, etc)
Maid In Manhattan (Bare Bones too!)

BADLANDS!!!!! but extremely unlikely
"Excalibur" would be awesome as a special edition with the original poster art.

I have an original Excalibur poster in my home theater. It's from the Cannes film festival, so it is in Italian, a little strange.

I'd love an awful yet funny Michael Caine movie called Without A Clue to be released in at least anamorphic widescreen.
