That beloved landlord with those bugged-eyes (Knotts) will be missed.
R.I.P. to both men.
Don knotts... was a awsome actor especially in The Andy Griffin show. I will never forget you!
What a one - two sucker punch. Both of those guys will be missed. Gilligan and Barney Fife in the same year....who would have thought that?
Don Knotts - a talent that cannot be replaced. At least he had a good long life! RIP
RIP Barney Fife and Carl Kolchak
The Incredible Mr. Limpet himself, Don Knotts and television's original vampire slayer, Darren McGavin sadly passed away this weekend. I recently went on an Ebay quest to acquire the individual DVDs that Fox released of Don Knotts' comedic films of the 1960s. I popped in "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" and it still brought a smile to my face years later.

I will always remember Darren McGavin fondly for his high strung, yet devoted father in the classic film, "A Christmas Story." However, it is "The Nightstalker" movies and the "Kolchak" series that initially made me a fan.
