Well we get what we pay for Tongue
Happened to me one time too. I just went back and replaced it.
You wanna talk DIY shelves, you should see my pathetically altered 30$ Target bookshelves. I snaped one of them in half while moving a few months ago, but a little duct tape fixed that right up.
I think that, this thread will start a new "Hate Movement" LOL

Excellent collections shown by everyone!
You gotta love those DYI shelves!
I'll have to take a new pic as soon as I get things reorganized around the house, but here's an old pic of my collection from about two years ago, just for Gabe... Wink

Thanks! That's not all the titles either as some have been sold and a few new ones have been added (Departed, Goodfellas, etc). I'll take a new one over the weekend.

Let me know if you want to check out that Dvd store. I'll introduce you to my friends there.
Best days are Tuesdays and sometimes Fridays for all R1 New Releases.

Yeah. Some cool stuff, Demiscy. Later this year, I should have some limited cool stuff like yours. I managed to find a excellent condition of "The Lion King" Platinum Edition Region 1. Have put it on hold at this import store. Will be mine soon. I will be getting that Friends set soon, as well, when I have enough money.
Not a problem.
I will do so, as soon as I return home from work tonight!

You should dump more on there. Freeze up the gimp's pc.
Doesn't matter now because I've had enough and you're both banned (and when I say both I mean it in the singular, as you're the same person. And you apparently have loads of spyware on your PC).
Cheddar J. Cheese wrote: So Poppy and Sam, you're the same person right? Doesn't take a fool to figure it out...

A cretin by any other name would be just as cretinous.

Are you going to ban this pair then Chris?
Sam
Mr Cheesy Pees, you offend me sir! But you do have a point, you never see me and Poppy in the same room at the same time. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Oh of course not... With postings 4 minutes apart mocking the thread, how can you be?

Anyways, I don't have any pics for the rest of you, although I enjoy seeing your collections, keep 'em coming.
Oy the only FOOL is you boy!! We are NOT i repeat NOT the same person.. Get your facts right cheesy..
So Poppy and Sam, you're the same person right? Doesn't take a fool to figure it out...

Look, you're coming to a DVD site... What do you expect, honestly? People are interested in seeing others' collections, if you're not, then don't read it and especially don't contribute.
Sam
Anyone read Razzle? You can see me on the 'Readers Husbands' section, page 12.

KAPOW!
And what if you cant read at all??
Nic Mall wrote: Anyone who reads this Month's DVDReview magazine can see mine on page 9s "Readers' Shelves" section.

I SEE.. Well the extras are the same in all regions I guess.

I managed to buy off eBay the collector's tin from France and I am pretty satisfied with what it had inside. (poster, photographs, photographs of the dwarf inside an envelope, the OST, the double DVD)
Here is the "Ameli SE: I have:

http://test.siriuz.net/Obraz037.jpg
http://test.siriuz.net/Obraz043.jpg
http://test.siriuz.net/Obraz045.jpg

as for what this set contains:
- 6.1 DTS ES French
- comentary by Jean-Pierre Jeunet
- storyboards
- photos
- trailers
- "faces of Audrey Tautou"
- poster designs
- "actors of Amelie"
- makeing of
- something, that in English sounds like "photos of the dwarf"
- screen savers
£ukasz D does your Amelie set contain anything that the other Region sets dont have?
Great stuff £ukasz! You just reminded me of a couple of titles I need to pick up, like Empire of The Sun. I need that and Always to complete my Spielberg collection. Wink
some quick preview of my stuff...soon i'll post more pics.

You see, that's the problem. I have a couple of region 4 and 5 discs as well as a lot of asian region 3 tites. So that won't do i'm afraid. Wink

If I remember things correctly DVDprofiler enables you to add titles yourself. At least it used to, can't seem to find that feature now. On the other hand i'm just playing around with the free verison. Maybe that's something that's only availible in the premium version?
DVD aficionado does that, adds titles from different regions. Not all though. Just the most common/ popular ones - R1, R2(UK), R4(AUS). There may be some from Asia. Not sure though, as I don't have one from Asia.
Tony DeFrancisco wrote: Disciple great collection! Do you have a DVDAficionado or DVDSpot or an internet DVD collection page? If you do, send me it, I want to see this.

I'm afraid not. I have the whole list in Excel format, that's it. Wink I used to have it as a DVDprofiler list, but after my computer crashed it kind of got lost as I hadn't backed that up. Sad

If you can recommend a program that enables me to add titles from all regions, please let me know.

As for Re-Animator being upside down. Thanks for noticing. I'll have to fix that Wink
nice big collection !
but in my collection only there is 3 Single DVD , I preffer special , limited , deluxe , Gift set , ultimate .... editions
Disciple, you Re-Animator DVD is upside down. Just thought you might like to fix that.
Disciple great collection! Do you have a DVDAficionado or DVDSpot or an internet DVD collection page? If you do, send me it, I want to see this.
I double dip a lot on my fav films
I tend to do, yes. Recently, it's been like this in cases of double dip: First I get the R1 DVD cause' it's the first one released and I want it as fast as possible. However, in some cases I also get the R2 DVD of films I love when the R2 release turns out to be the better one. I did this with X-Men: The Last Stand. I got the comic and the cool packaging with the R1 DVD but I got the content and the DTS-ES with the 2-disc R2. I guess my answer is that I do double dip, but not with every single DVD. In rare cases only.
Great stuff Disciple...i'd love to have a shelf like this for my own collection, but my god damn room is to small Sad.

One question..do you often double-dip.....?????
Dustin wrote: Disciple, loving your collection. Few questions though, why two copies of Halloween H20? Second, is that a bootleg Phantasm box set on your floor? Doesn't it include a workprint of 3? Been trying to track one of those down.

Lastly, I spotted TCM 2 (you sure have it early!), is the disc inside dual-sided? Thanks...

Halloween H20: Because the R1 DVD displays the picture in a letterbox format wider than the OAR of 2.35:1, something that results in larger black bars than there should be. That annoys me. Wink I bought the other one cause I thought it might be in the OAR. It wasn't.

Phantasm: Yes I'm afraid it is the bootleg box set. I want to point out though that I would never have bought it if I had known that before. On the other hand; I do have the official release as well. Wink It includes workprints of both Phantasm II & III but the picture quality is far from watchable. There's an hour or so of unedited behind the scenes material from the making of Phantasm II (i think) as well. This is worth the price alone although it's in the same bad picture quality as the workprints.

TCM 2: It's a one sided disc with printed artwork on the top side.

nice collection
