Poor Homer...
Looks promising to say the least. Rock and a Hard place, visual comedy that has been a tad heavy handed in recent years, but subtle in the early years (and now used frequently on Family Guy, but let's not go there). The show has to go back to being intelligent and witty, make pop culture references, but not flavour of the month ones, like American Idol, bring back the old movie references no one understands except for a priveleged few! They also should stop the stupid guest appearances that last 30 seconds and adds nothing to the plot.

Yeah I miss the old Simpsons episodes. They were packed full of intelligent references, whilst still having a level of wacky comedy to please the whole family.

I watched Family Guy and American Dad this weekend. Both episodes ripped off South Park. It was sad honestly. I'm starting to hope they don't make anymore Futurama episodes because everything seems to fall apart after 4 or 5 seasons.

I missed Family Guy. What was the plot / what south park episode did they copy?

It was American Dad. The plot was the same as the South Park episode Make Love, Not Warcraft. Following their misadventures in a World of Warcraft like game and whatnot.

I liked this trailer a lot, I think it's pretty funny. I haven't watched a new episode of the Simpsons since season 12, I think, so I can't judge the quality of the series as a whole but I'm loving every season on DVD so far. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie.

As a big Simpsons fan I thought I'd never say this but the new seasons are terrible. Even the voices are bad, no effort at all.
Such a shame. Lovin the box sets though!!!!!

Oh wow, I didn't even know. I would really love to read about the turnaround per episode on American Dad vs. South Park. I know SP is ridiculously fast (like 3 days) but with the Warcraft Animation they might have been created around the same time.
