sin city extended dvd ( only read if ure from uk)
this is 4 you uk dudes, I got this from usa and all the extended version is, is the uk version that we saw in the cinema but split up, it seems the americans had a shorter cut than we did, I watched the usa version and it misses out the start on the sky sc**per and bits out of marves story , dwights and hardigans, when it sed theres 27 mins extra , I thought it meant 27 mins on top of the version I saw in the uk cinema cos why wud we get a better version than the americans, but we did, most of the 27 mins is actually titles and credits at the end of each story, so only get it 4 the extras.

I don't know why they do that. Just like the Japanese (vs North America) got a longer version of Kill Bill.
UK's ratings aren't as stricter as ours. That's why Kill Bill was longer.
You're really very wrong about this. While it's true that there aren't twenty seven minutes of action (less than ten if truth be told), the extra runtime does include scenes not in the UK theatrical cut. There's a completely new scene with Marv, his mum and Gladys in The Hard Goodbye. The Big Fat Kill features a few new bits (including a scene with Miho and Manute), and That Yellow B*****d has at least two new scenes in it.
And Tony, WTF are you on about with the UK ratings and Kill Bill? For starters he said Japan, not the UK, and our ratings are 'as stricter' (sic) as the USA's, just in different ways. The US goes a bit funny when it comes to sex, while our censors don't like violence (although they have moved into the new millennium in recent times). Would you guys like some brushes to go with those sweeping statements?

Whatever anyone does, don't buy the Canadian set. They got rid of the DTS for French 5.1 (again).
Canadian DVD will always have english and french 5.1 because bilingual is the law on goods and services.
You're incorrect to a degree. The only reason that the canadian dvd's have french added on some titles is because the studios are too lazy to make a separate version for quebec like they used to.
