Of course it is, silly.
Isn't most of the 23 minutes of additional footage actually made up of credits?
And a scene or two added in That Yellow B*****d and The Hard Goodbye.

Picked it up but haven't had a chance as of yet to check it out other than skimming over the discs. I'm kind of annoyed that there are no commentary or DTS options on the extended version, and given that the stories are all seperated in the new version, a 'Play All' feature would have been nice. Other than that, it seems to be a nice set and I'm looking forward to the commentary tracks on the theatrical cut.
I think its a really well done version and other companies should take notice. Definatly worth the price
Mines in the mail somewhere. I forgot it would be christmas time when I ordered it some months ago. My credit card is going to be overloaded.
I bought the original one. Should I pawn or sell it and buy this one?

Yes because it comes with the original

I got mine in the mail today. Yay!
It's a nice looking package, complete with amazing menu's. Although, anyone notice a slight dip in image quality with the re-cut stand alone stories? The bit rate on them is lower. That may explain it, but they don't seem as sharp.
All and all though, a worthy investment.

Please don't use 'text talk' in your posts.
Nice package. The only negative I see is the over-lapping discs. In a box set this big, each disc should have its own hub.
Anyone care to give a few pics of the set
The disc holders are the least of this set's worries. The bloody flimsy bit that holds the graphic novel arrived broken on my set as it got a bit squashed... There's a fekkin sizeable tear on one corner.

I think I already know the answer, but just to be safe... the red part (with the pictures of the content of the dvd) at the bottom of the front cover comes off right? In all the pictures I saw (including the ones that boboi posted)it's on the cover.
Yes it does.

That's the problem you'll have with online shopping. A lot of companies have terrible customer service, especially where returns are concerned.
Btw will we be getting this on R2 ever?

It's already available in R2, just not the UK. If Buena Vista's track record is anything to go by, we will eventually get this set. They took an age to release the Clerks X set after it was released in the States.
Actually, it usually takes a while for any of these extended editions to filter through to us. We haven't even got the director's cut of Hellboy yet (although it's been announced). I guess we're a much smaller market and they'd run the risk of saturating it if they released both versions so close together. Should only have been one release anyway - this one (in better packaging).

As I said, it's been announced for the new year. I have the R1 set, but the R2 packaging looks nicer.
I'm thinking about just putting the graphic novel up on my book shelf.
I still have my hardback diary and postcards that came with the R3 release of Sin City. C**ppy transfer though, so I sold the disc itself and got the R1.
