Oh, and I've just found out that my Sydney IMAX Theatre is showing Spider-man 3 in 3D!! Last month, they showed "300". It's about time they started showing mainstream films! Nobody wants to go there just to see documentaries!!
Woo-hoo! Never been to IMAX, so will go on Sunday! COOL! I get the BIGGER Screen and 3D!

Well that wasn't a patch on the other two. What is it about the third film in a series of superhero films? They've all been pretty bad. Superman 3, Blade Trinity, X-Men: The Last Stand, and now Spider-Man 3...
Even though Venom was bothced all to hell and underdeveloped... Spider-man 3 stands the best Marvel movie to date. 'Nuff Said.

To me, still Spider-Man 2 + Batman Begins remains two the best comic-book movie ever made. Although Spidy 2 has the best reviews of all.
Spidy 3 was good, but no where near memorable, but not as good as the first two, that's what I thought.

I liked it better than the first, but it was way behind the second one. Its biggest problem is The Sandman is a pretty useless character and only convolutes the plot; it would have been a stronger movie just focusing on Harry and the black suit storyline.
It's one of those cases of almost all the negative press is accurate but I still loved it dearly. I think a lot of the reason I liked and others don't might have something to do with how very Sam Raimi the film was. Parts one and two aren't so Same Raimi.
The thing about the Venom character is that he's focused squarly on making Peter AND Spiderman's lives awful, and the things Harry does would've been better for that charcater, but I understand Raimi's want to take Harry full circle.
And X-men 2 is still the best superhero movie. nya.

I agree with what Gabe said. This movie screamed Sam Raimi where as the first two didn't. S2 almost did; but S1 didn't t all. It had everything I'd want in a Spidey film. Action, drama, romance, music (sorta), comedy, huge battles, great villains and sweet effects sequences. It packed a lot of punch into it's 2+ hour run time.
I quite liked it - a nice addition to the other two. I like the fact that Raimi has treated it as one big story arc. I just wish there was another on the way.

Did anyone else but me hate Peter's Emo haircut in the second half?
I loved it but being a big spidey fan I was going to anyway .. erm but to be honest the whole Venom piece was truly awful you could somehow tell Raimi didn`t really want him in the film,for a start Eddie Brock(topher grace)to nice and cheery, wasn`t angry and pissed off enough to become venom also he wasn`t given any real back story unlike Flint Marko/Sandman ,although he wasn`t given enough screen time ,he just took the becoming sand instead of flesh and bone really quite well and just seemed to amble around not really knowing what he was meant to be doing.. The special effects particularly sandman were awesome but again seemed like they just threw him in there at the last minute to appease fans .. any way I could perhaps dribble on all night but it would be better if we could all sit round down the local with a few pints but hey never mind 
Brilliant but not the best of the three. Two is way better. The action sequences seemed to be a bit rushed so they could get to more talky bits. Still I really enjoyed it and the only thing to mar it were the FFFing chavs and gangsta rappa wanna bes and their fat girlfriends. AND JESUS CHRIST CAN'T PEOPLE LAST TWO FFING HOURS WITHOUT HAVING TO PEE!?
