Star Trek films on DVD
Hello board,

I am in need of help. Amazon is selling the box set of all the recently re-released Star Trek movies for about $97. In other words, all 10 Star Trek special edition version dvds for about $9 each. Now I already own the normal version of the Next Generation movies, so this will be a definite double-dip for me.

The question I have is whether or not the Original cast movies are worth owning. Not having seen any of the older movies before, I'm not sure if they're worth buying.

Thoughts? Any insights will be appreciated.

The movies are good, but the "special editions" of II thru V look like they were put together by a kid in a highschool art production class. The actors are actually shot in such an amateur way during the bonus features you'll yell at the TV and rethink your purchase.

Just beware.
