If it is non-anamorphic, it's a no sale to me.  I have the Definitive Laserdisc set and I can transfer it to DVD myself.

I am glad they are coming.  They might not look as good as the "Special edition" DVD sets but they will look good.  I have the Laserdisc and they look great.  If they are from the same trasnfers then most fans should be happy.

But if you already have the laserdiscs, why would you buy the DVDs for the same thing?

The convenience of a smaller disc coupled with not having to turn the discs over (depending on whether the discs were CLV or CAV) multiple times.
