How is THAT possible?! Even if Superman 1, 2, 3 and whatever were 3 Discs each it wouldn't even fill 14 total discs. STupid rumor, I don't think anyones biting.
Course it's possible. All four movies, the Donnor cut of Superman 2, Supergirl will have 2 discs, Superman Returns and two more discs of extras.
Duuuh.
:p

It's no rumour, friend.

I hear tell that Supergirl won't be included.

Haha shut me up, this is similar to the Alien Quadrilogy, no?
Will this Ultimate Edition come out before Superman Returns on DVD? Or at the same time? I want them to announce it!!

This isn't a rumor, it's been confirmed by WB themselves numerous times. The extra discs will consist of bonus material, including all of the now public domain Max Fleischer Cartoons, newly remastered by WB.
Dustin is right. Supergirl is NOT included, although it is coming.

Johnny, I'm just curious... what the hell is that on your signature?

If you would keep reading down you'd see that I've since been convinced otherwise by Mr. Tony, so.......you know......maybe next time.

Don't know how much they crosscheck things over there, but I wouldn't count on DVDAficionado.com as being a wholly reliable source seeing as anyone can add a title to their database...
So, does the studio just ignore, and c**p over Superman 3 & 4 since Brian Singer decided they were not in his movie continuity? Granted I do not like 4, and put up with 3, it seems there should be SOME type of add'l behind the scenes things we could see added to these flicks. I am just thinking, if they are going to add them, then they should be looked at too, as something more than a way to up the disk count on a special release.
From what Warner has said, every film will have it's own disc of special features. I'm not crazy about 3 and 4 but I'd like to see something along the lines of their Batman Anthology. Documentaries and featurettes that aren't afraid to admit that the films were c**p, and that further uncover WHY they were c**p.

If that doesn't count as a source, here is another one:

That's a great site. Gives a lot of details on what might be included in the Donner Cut of Superman II.
So what is this Donner Cut I keep hearing of? What's different about it?

Richard Donner was the director of "Superman: The Movie", he was going to film that and "Superman II" back to back. However, halfway through production of "II" there was a dispute (budget, plus Marlon Brando was suing for a percentage of the profits). So, Warner Brothers fired him halfway, and brought Richard Lester to direct the rest. This was done over the period of 2 years (hence the delay of the sequel, Christopher Reeve's and Margot Kidder's appearance, and Gene Hackman refused to return for reshoots). Also Jor-El (Marlon Brando) was supposed to be the hologram in the Fortress of Solitude, instead of Lara (Superman's mother). But since Brando was suing, they cut him out. The Donner Cut is basically putting back the unused Jor El footage and other for a more coherent and overalll better "Superman II".

I will be the first in line to buy this. I have been waiting for Richard Donner's Superman II for years. I remember going to see this movie knowing that "Brando" was cut out of it.

I was at a Canadian DVD awards show in April, and there was a wicked cool, giant ice sculpture of crystal formations with a rotating daily planet on top for Superman: Returns there.

Nice site, but still nothing official, Tony.

Hows about I let you off the hook and point you in the right direction:
1) Go to The Official Superman Returns Site
2) Head towards the links near the bottom of the main image and click on Legacy.
3) Make sure to check out the 'Calendar' section.
When we know more details we'll let you know.

SPLOOSH!
After doing some MAJOR digging, I finally found this article that I remembered reading months ago. I'm even more excited about the Kubrick SEs.
Also, they mention that they will all be released on HD-DVD day-and-date. Holy Sheite!
