Superman Returns or X3
Which one of these movies do you want to see the most?  My vote is "Superman Returns" however I will see both.

I still haven't been able to see X2 yet, but I'll see them both, but I'm looking forward to Superman the most.

There is nothing else as important to me this summer. It's "Superman Returns." I hope they add a dedication to Christopher and Dana Reeve.

They damn well should. I plan on seeing both this summer, however, I've waited for "Superman Returns" for far too long to skip it. So if I had to only choose one, Kal-El gets my money.

Kinda hard to decide without seeing a full Superman trailer like X3 has.

I have to say that X3 looks really bad from the trailer...

Superman Returns in contrast, looks Awesome!!!

It's the matter of the man called 'Bryan Singer'!!!

I'll watch both and enjoy both but if I had to choose to only see one then that movie would be "Superman Returns". I can't wait till that day when I'm in the cinema and the Superman theme music starts, it's gonna be magical.

I'm looking forward to both equally.  If I had to choose I'd go for X-Men simply because they've got a superhero in a wheelchair Happy (I'm a wheelchair user myself)

I want to like X men more, but my hopes are low simply based on the production. Superman is, in contrast, a character I'm not a huge fan of, but Singer is such an artist that I can't help but assume his picture will be better.

I was high on X3 until I started seeing the trailers.  The Beast looks awful and I will keep expecting him to take calls for psychiatric help during the movie.

At this point, I think Superman will be better because of Singer and because they chose a relative unknown to play Superman.

I was dissapointed by the fact that Bryan Singer left X3 to do Superman Returns as he had done a great job with the first 2   X-Men films (Perhaps that was why Warner wanted him for Supes)
I think X3 will be average but SR will probably be kick ass!!!!

The trailers for X3 were way better than anything put forth for Superman Returns so far.  I'm not really psyched about Supes Return for the simple fact that I'm not too crazy about the plotline.  Doens't mean I won't see it though.
I'm more psyched about the X-Men movie because it was a long time coming to bring them to the screen.  Regardless of whether the movie kicks ass or bombs, I'm just glad they were brought to the big screen.  It was a fun ride.

Darren, do you even know the plot to SR? I was under the impression that it was pretty secretive.

And Tony, you do need to see X2, I think it's my favourite all time super hero movie.

Thanks for correcting me Gabe.  I should clarify myself.  From what we know, with Supes being gone for so long and returning to find Lois married with kids, etc.  I'm a bit upset that Brian and Co. has ONCE AGAIN deviated from the comic book continuity. No big deal, though. I understand how Hollywood works.
Like I said before though, i'll check it out.  I just don't have my hopes up high.
That better?  LOL

Superman holds more interest for me than X3 but I don't think X3 is going to be (or deserve) the stink that some are predicting. The full trailer for X3 looks fine to me. The way it can fail (artistically) is if the tone has massively changed from the first 2 films. This could (and probably will) upset existing fans. As for all the Brett Ratner hate going on, I would like to think that the film will be great just to quiet those people down. He may not be a ground breaking film maker, but of the films (of his) that I've seen, they may be light weight but they couldn't be classed as badly made films. Just listening to his commentaries reveals someone who does at least put a degree of thought into his work so I wish him and the film well.

As for Superman, I think this is definately going to be the one to see. But the weight of expectation could dampen this one at the box office. I can't see it being a failure but it still has the potential (like any summer blockbuster) to under perform.

Gabe,

I just watched X2 now, and I have to say, I was pretty impressed and disappointed in myself from not watching it when I first bought it. I don't really think it was the best superhero film though, as I still think it's a tie between Batman Begins and Spider-Man II

I'm still upset over The Punisher.  I'm a huge comic book fan.  I think it's because I didn't want to see Travolta in it.

I have to admit the plot has got me a little scared about it.
I mean superman has been around for like 80years, so why not use one of the stories from the true continuety?
But I like Singers work, and Kevin Spacey as lex is class.
Id say that when all is said and done it will be an ace film.

As for x3.......well the trailer didnt realy do anything for me ( apart from angel flying )
But as its aparently the last one and dark phonix is in it, it should be worth watching.

X3 was a safer bet, but I REALLY hope that SR hits it out of the park.  X-Men has a prebuilt audience waiting for it (because of the first 2).  Superman may not his movies are over 20 years old, I mean everyone knows him, and he is more recognizable, but will his movie succeed?  I certainly hope so, beause I want many sequals after this one.
My opinion is I will support both on their opening weekends.

Of course Superman is gonna have it great as far as box office goes... I think it's gonna top Spider-Man as the highest grossing superhero film.

See?  I hope it does, I really hope it does, I even Superhope it does, but I just don't see it happening (taking over Spidey's slot of biggest).  I really hope I am wrong.  It will have my opening weekend money, and if as good as I want it to be, another ticket a week or so later.  Not trying to be a downer on it, but that is just my opinion of how it will pan out at the end.
