Terminator
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is scheduled for a summer 2009 release. The movie is expected to launch a new Terminator trilogy.

I was hoping a T4 but I guess they want to revamp a new trilogy.

I think this is essentially going to be a Terminator 4, just showing what I think a lot of fans want to see(could be wrong), an older John Connor launching the war against Skynet and the Machines. Hopefully the rumours of Christian Bale starring in this will turn out to be true.

And hopefully the rumors of McG directing are not true

And hopefully they won't bother at all and everybody will be happy with the first Terminator.

I am afraid it its true:
Bale To Star in 'Terminator' Sequel
Batman Begins actor Christian Bale has reportedly signed up to star in the fourth Terminator film. The actor will play John Connor in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which is to be directed by Charlie's Angels filmmaker McG. The character of John Connor has previously been played by Edward Furlong in 1991's Terminator II: Judgement Day and Nick Stahl in 2003's Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who starred in the first three Terminator films, is not expected to be a part of the fourth installment.

I thought 3 was poor, but I would still probably go and see this.

Bale good. McG? Without pre judging him, C.A.2 stunk up the room something fierce. Was it a film? I couldn't tell. A lot of noise and flashing lights was all I saw and heard.

Still, give him a chance. As for Scwartz not returning, no big deal. In the films and books, his terminator was only one of many models. There were other terminators seen in the first films so lets see them. CGI an Arnold model in there as well but as good as he looked in T3, he's going to be too old this time. For sure.

At the very minimum, if he agreed to be in any 4th film, he could feasibly appear as the real person that the T 800 was based on. Would that be too gimicky? He would have to have a legitimate reason to be in the story as well. He couldn't just pop up and go (Boba Fett stylee Ep 4) 'Look it's me'.

Bale should at least make it watchable. Whether that will be enough to counter McG's visual b*****ks, only time will tell. Hopefully he (Bale) won't be lost in all the choppy editing and overblown action sequences. I do not want to see John Connor on a trial bike whizzing 50ft through the air firing an Uzi 9mm at a squadron of pink neon liquid female terminators astride pimped single seater HK's.

Ugh! That scenario just spilled out of me. I feel quite ill at the thought. I apologise to any terminator enthusiasts out there.
