No offense taken, Adrian. I just thought that the movie needed a lot more work. I didn't like it. So, I walked out of the theater. I like the Monty Python films. Tideland should be better, but, even though this films sucks, I'll try with other Terry Gilliam films after this one.
Quote: Let me tell you how awful it was.
Now, I'm a sucker for those kinds of films. Terry Gilliam should of never made this movie. Even my friend was disapointed. I only lasted 20 minutes in this film.
Not to pick on Tony, but can you really tell the quality of a movie by only seeing the first 20 minutes of a movie?
Personally, I've never understood walking out of a movie. I have never done this is my life. And yes, I have seem some awful movies in the theater. I just have to stay to the end to make sure they are completely awful.
The Brother Grimm wasn't a terrible movie. Just overwhelmingly mediocre. It was a real disappointment from someone like Gilliam.

I saw it 3 days ago before picking my dad and brother up from the airport.
I actually liked it.

In all fairness, Gilliam has stated that he did it for the money and that the studio (Demention, of course) took the project away from him and tinkered with it.
I hope he takes the money from this and makes something REAL good like the old days i.e. Brazil

You give way too many 5/5's.
Dislike a movie for once.

HAHAHAHA! ZING!
I'll still eventually see it on DVD, or if my friend can get me in for free. It looks decent. I'm expecting the highest of a 7/10.
See The 40-Year-Old Virgin. You won't regret it. 9/10
I saw Red-Eye, but it cut off at the last 10 minutes so I don't know how I'm gonna view the rest. I got my money back though. 9/10 until that point.
However, if I were given a life or death question, I'd go with Virgin, without hesitation.

I'll still see it because Terry Gilliam is awesome.
I just saw it today actually. I wasn't expecting it to be Gilliam's GREATEST work as usual. I had a feeling it would be mediocre at best. Being that I've read nothing but bad word of mouth about studio and the Weinsteins giving Gilliam crap about filming. So I thought it was entertaining. Not great as I expected. Definitely, not as good as his usual style of film-making. Think he could have spent more time developing something along the lines of his expertise. Although I felt it had it's Monty Python-esque moments. The idea of the film had potential, but, oh well. I'm not complaining though. I think it could've ended up worse.
The Brother's Grimm review
Yesterday, I was able to go to a 8:00 showing of the Brother's Grimm. I went with my friend who is a huge Terry Gilliam fan. After 7 years he waited for it. I wasn't expecting much of it, but it looked like a good movie, so I went with him.
Let me tell you how awful it was.

I'm finally gonna be able to see Red Eye or the 40 Year Old Virgin today because I got my money back, but that was a waste of time that I will never be able to get back.
