Does anyone know what happened to this DVD? When it might be coming out or if it got pushed back or cancelled?!

The Criterion is never happeneding sadly, due to some problems, which is don't what they are but it's not happending

I didn't realize The Game was ever being considered for anything other than a standard release. I saw from a recent edition of Empire Magazine (I believe) that it got a special edition over in the U.K.

Like "The Village", I enjoyed the film despite the questionable premise.

I too was surprised to see a Special Edition of this on the shelves over here. It seemed to arrive without much fanfare. It's probably the best we can hope for as far as a substitute for the Criterion though.
