You talking about 'Gwoemul'? It was supposed to be both scary and funny, but it didn't really work for me either. I'm guessing it was intended to be a political satire/cautionary tale, but it was very Korean. By that I mean I think it would have played better with greater local knowledge. I'm no expert on Korean cinema, but so far this was one of the weaker Korean films I've seen (along with Volcano High and even Shiri - yes I said it). I probably own around a dozen or so Korean movies, but this isn't one I'll be adding to the collection.
