Hopefully this trilogy will come out on both formats for the sake of owners of either players but I wonder if, while Jackson and others have issues with New Line over alleged monies owed to them, any new release, HD or otherwise will in fact happen until their differences are resolved.
Well, I remember a while back, on The Digital Bits, they had an interview or something with someone that had stuff to do with LOTR on DVD, and they said that they are working on an HD-DVD (might've been Blu-Ray, might've been both (you'd think making both would make sense...), my memory's not so hot) version, saying there's hours of stuff they can put in the set, blah blah blah. I'll be damned if I could find the link though. I've looked, but can't seem to find it. Again, my memory isn't always the best (unless it's useless movie stuff, then I'm a pro Wink), so I could be mistaken about several key facts and whatnot.
thats what i thought too
Aye looked shopped to me too - I seriously doubt they would use these covers for HD anyhoo
I personally think those are shopped. Look at FotR, the "New Line Platinum Series" goes to high up when compared to the other 2.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
