Don't worry, Chris, it was mostly blood and gore.
I thought the first one was good, and the twist at the end was one of the best to come along in a while (at least for me).
Wasn't too crazy about the second one though. Hollywood REALLY needs to get out of the habit of sequels. Not EVERY movie that is successful is guaranteed to be successful the second or third time around! LOL

Yeah, this was pretty well covered in that forum.
You should look up the old thread announcing Saw II on DVD for a long discussion about what I thought was wrong with the original saw.
Saw 2 reminds me more of the Cube films than the original Saw. Liked the twist though.
The original I thought was very good. The acting was a bit hammy at times, but the premise I thought was very well set up and the ending was fantastic. Saw 2 was a bit of a disappointment, there were still some neat death scenes, but on a whole it was a much weaker film. The scenes of violence/death were so over the top it just seemed like they were more concerned with gore than story or plot.
