Twilight Zone
I have been a long time fan of the TV show and I am desperate to see the movie. Does anyone else think a DVD is absolutely necessary? I'm not one of the sadistic fuckers who wants footage of Vic Morrow's death, I am just very interested in the movie. Maybe they'll give in eventually like they did for Song of South. (Song of the South will be coming out in Fall 2006.)

I still don't get the reason for not putting it out. The tragic death of some of the cast like 20 years ago is really just a footnote in history now. Most people couldnt tell you who Vic Morrow even was.
This post got me thinking so I went trolling around for more info. Believe it or not, I haven't actually seen the movie in it's entirety. I lost track of the court aftermath what with actually going about with everyday life.
Here is an excellent summary on Court TV's Crime Library site for anyone who has no idea what happened.
There is video of the actual event floating around too. I saw it long ago on tv, thankfully it's not particularily graphic. I did however find it shocking how careless the movie crew was. Right away the situation looks unsafe and amateurish.
I had forgotten John Landis and others probably got away with a conspiracy of involuntary manslaughter.
Terrible situation all around.
It still shouldn't keep at least a barebones release from coming forth though. Like I said above, it's just a footnote by now.
