there are so many, I'm not even gonna give them that much repect by mentioning.
Red Dragon was good, but fairly unnecessary.
Ahh come on Tony. I know they're prequels I just don't think they added anything to the existing 3 films. The only positive aspect of the prequels was the way in which they were filmed and the impact of that will be felt far further into the future than the actual films themselves. All the prequels did was weaken and dilute a 'black hat villain'. Which was not necessary in my view.

Big Momma's House (or in fact any M. Lawrence film).

Along similar lines, The Sting 2.

Do the Bond films count?
I thought Deuce Bigalow 2 was pretty unnecessary, but I liked the film overall. Thought it was very funny.
"Butch and Sundance: The Early Days"
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. I thought the first movie was practically unwatchable and then got suckered into buying the second, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, by a couple of decent reviews. It turned out to be more of the same. I think I was expecting something more like a female Indiana Jones. The only reason to watch either of these movies is to ogle Angelina---damn you, Brad Pitt!
Home Alone... I enjoyed the first two when I was a kid, not seen the other two that followed but they look really bad and have very low ratings on IMDb (3.6/10 and 2.4/10).
"The Blue Lagoon" "Airplane" "Legally Blonde" "Father of the Bride" "Grease" "Saturday Night Fever" "The Poseidon Adventure "Airport" "Breakin" "Death Wish" "Enter the Ninja" "Universal Soldger" "Dumb and Dumber" "The Mask" "The Blues Brothers" "Cocoon" "Three Men and a Baby" "48hrs" "Daddy Day Care" "Bambi"
Unnecessary Sequels
What movies, in your opinion, did not need a sequel(s)?
