what are these hd and blu-ray dvds?
I have many dvds (standard)and dont know if I should start buying all this fancy stuff.  is it worth it? I think that hd dvds look unatractive with the red design on the top and bottom.

I think there is soooo much explaining involved no-one wants the challenge. I would recommend you do some research on Google. You can get great definitive answers there.

Let me bias you first, don't buy Sony products...

I don't really get the hd dvd thing either, cuz whats the difference, if its just picture then I'm fine with what I have cuz my regular dvds have great picture and sound...
