I guess I'm confusing the films, I'll rewatch them this weekend.

The worst trailer for giving stuff away in space was for Star Trek III. The surprise ending was that they destroyed the original Enterprise, and they gave it away in the frickin trailer almost in its entirety.
The first time I saw it I said to myself that its a good thing I wasnt watching movies then or I woulda been pissed...hehehe

i liked the old trailers where all they showed were stills
Alot of the trailers from the 80s had a tendancy to show the ending of the movie.
Christ, a Floyd post without 'Star Wars sucks' in it! Although I'd actually agree with you this time mate. Havig said that, I'm sure it will grow on me with repeated viewings as the other two did. To be honst, it's hard to be blown away by a sci-fi/fantasy film after the near-perfect Empire Strikes Back.
I'm beginning to think Empire ruined Star Wars.
Gabe, you're mental.

Not because it was bad, but because it was so good and ultimately doesn't fit the same mold as the rest of the films. Think about it.
Well the middle part of a trilogy is often the most interesting (Matrix Reloaded, at least for me).
Not the comfy chair!

You know, when Reloaded came out, I felt totally ripped off by it, but upon further veiwings, I've realized it was actually very good. I just think the first 40 min are wasted, but once Neo meets up with the Oracle and she gives him the lowdown, it's actually a pretty fantastic movie.
and incase there weren't enough commas in the last post, here's a few more : ,,,,,,,,,
I'm surprised no one has done a phantom edit on Reloaded and Revolutions where they cut the both films together and cut all the boring shite out.
Besides here's my view on Empire is better than Jedi.
The only reason these so called fans bitch about ROTJ is because of Kevin Smith, so you have a decade of students and young people who think they're intellectual because they've just seen a black and white movie, and think Empire was better, when in fact it was good, but apart from the Hoth battle and the revelation of Darth the rest of the movie lacked the excitement of IV and VI.

Or you could, indeed, be totally wrong. When something is popular it doesn't always discount it from being the best. Empire is well paced, well acted (for Star Wars) and has decent effects. It's a character driven affair, and as such whips the prequels. Jedi is a good film, but it doesn't hang together as well as Empire. Whether this is due to the directorial differences and rehashed plot, who knows. All I know is that Empire appears in most people's favourites list time and time again for a reason. It's not just good sci-fi, it's good cinema.

Like Chris Said, Empire is the best paced of all of the films and it is the best acted of the bunch. It also has the best dialogue, musical score, and sprinkles just the right amounts of action, drama, romance and definitely humor--especially the black humor from Vader or the banter between Han Solo and Leia and C3PO. I love all of the films, but Empire is just a notch above the rest in every category...and I have felt that way for several years, long before I even first heard of Kevin Smith.
Return of the Jedi still holds the biggest place in my heart. i just like it better than Empire
We only owned two movies when I was little, Empire and Ghostbusters, so those are the two films I watched. Jedi holds a special place in my heart for two reasons: 1. I didn't own it and only watched it when it was on TV, and 2. I was old enough to actually see it in theaters, unlike Empire, which came out a month before I was even born.
As an adult, I recognize that Empire really is the best of the films, and honestly think that (how to word this?...)it set the bar for the rest of the Star Wars movies too...high brow? The other movies tend to stick to Lucas' original design. It often makes me wish that someday Lucas would just re-shoot Empire himself, leaving his fans the superior original, while maintaining his original vision. Does this make sense?

The original one is my favourite - although I did see it first when I was 7 and innocent(was I ever innocent??)
Oh, and as an after thought, I wonder if they will release an un-rated cut as I have heard that this print was toned down.....
I heard that they (not sure if it's Lucas himself) want to do a prequel of the episode 1. I think that's too much prequel. Instead of going backwards, they should go forwards in the future.

Check out the Star Wars changes on here it will show you what was toned down, which was mainly the laser impact on some of the guards.

I've heard that only on some Canadian shows that are just bottom feeders for internet sites and direct entertainment sources anyhow. They probably just picked up a rumor from some site and went with it. Often half the stuff that shows like eTalk Daily reports turns out to be wrong. Don't even get me started on how little their cast know about anything.

lol....obviously based on that broken english you just wrote
Back by popular demand, the Jessica Alba sig - new and improved! Which translated means a batch of hot new pics just came out. Can you believe she has 2 more movies coming out this year?

And what about the tv show Lucas has planned?
Those shows are definate and should happen by 2007. Casting is apparently already underway for the live action one.
