What DVDs Will Be Surprise Hits?
I'm thinking that two of the year's most sluggish performers, Kingdom of Heaven and The Island, will be solid hits on DVD. I know that not many people paid to see these movies on the big screen, but I really think they will find an audience on DVD. Or at least that's what I hope... I also think that Cinderella Man will surprise some with its success on DVD. What are some others you see surprising on the DVD market?

I say "War Of The Worlds" with Tom Cruise, "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory", "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalow", "The 40 yr Old Virgin", "Batman Begins" and the newly remastered boxed sets. And any good movie like Kingdom of Heaven that comes with really good DTS surround Sound (I'm thinking "Stealth" too!)
Have I left anything out?

War of the Worlds and i think the Batman Box will be a huge seller
Hopefully the Island makes more money than in theaters.
Had "The Wedding Crashers" been released in December instead of January, I think it would be a big seller too, since it is released in an unrated version as well.

Target was nearly sold out of Kingdom of Heaven DVDs today. I guess it will make its money back after all.
Yeah, Kingdom of Heaven seems to be selling pretty well. I've been to a couple of stores that have barely anything left in the way of the Ridley Scott epic (picked up mine already, thankfully). This one should do pretty well. I hope the same can be said for The Island in a couple of months.
I think that some surprises may come from the Titanic DVD. I'm thinking it will sell tons of copies right out of the gate. I think Cinderella Man might raise some eyebrows too.
I'll rent Kingdon of Heaven, one day I'm bored.
