I'm still sitting around waiting around for a Braveheart Special Edition, youd think such a popular film would have gotten SOMETHING by now....

All the others I would list are already having ones being released in the coming months (i.e. Poltergeist, Kill Bill, Bram Stroker's Dracula, Stanley Kubrick's films)

Where did you hear that Dracula is coming out? And when did it say it was coming out? I'm not doubting you, I just don't want to get my hopes up over nothing.

Agreed. I STILL haven't bought it knowing something has to come out.....Oh, and The Matrix 1 needs a 2 Disc, I know there was the Ultimate, but that didn't change the disc.

It's the innovater, and deserves individual recognition.

THE MATRIX CRITERION COLLECTION. Anyone think that may happen?

It was announced a few months back as a 2-disc. It will be released 10/02.

Now, lets just hope its the much talked about Director's cut of the film before it was butchered to slim the running time.

The only cuts I remember concern Renfield, I think it was censored from the original print to be less graphic during that whole "ordeal". But that was only a few seconds... What cuts are you talking about? He didn't film the epilogue and not include it did he?

Hmm, for one of my favourite films, I seem to know so little about it... Oh well, I can blame it on the fact that I haven't seen any making of stuff because there hasn't been a decent DVD of it yet Tongue

Either way, DC or not (of course I'd prefer to see a DC,) I'm celebrating.

Sadly, no news mate!

But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a definitive release on both Standard and Hi-Def in the very nearest future. Totally adore this film...

I'm hoping a 10th Anniversary edition is annouced soon... But it's July now, so I'm drastically lowering my hopes for one. Brilliant film though.

I completely agree on THE GAME (the only Fincher film with a bare-bones DVD), TRUE LIES (What is Cameron waiting for?) and GATTACA. I also think THE INSIDER is in dire need of an SE. SINGLES is Crowe's only bare-bones movie on DVD. Almost all of Spike Lee's films need Special Editions. CROOKLYN, CLOCKERS, HE GOT GAME and SUMMER OF SAM. Also, Linklater's BEFORE SUNRISE and BEFORE SUNSET. And where's Warner Bros with our Ultimate Collection of the LETHAL WEAPON series? A few others. THE FIRM, DAYS OF THUNDER, THIEF, CRADLE WILL ROCK, DAVE, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, and BULWORTH. I'm sure there's hundreds more I can't think of right now.

Oh! and obviously... Every Woody Allen's film - which is sadly I doubt it will ever happen since the materials may have never even exist in the first place or else no one knows where it is now?

Man, it would definitely make my day if one day there's a decent SE for Manhattan, Annie Hall, Hannah and her Sisters,  Sleeper, Husbands and Wives, Deconstructing Harry etc. - don't need anything from film like Curse of the Jaded Scorpion and Small Time Crooks, but definitely Match Point as well

I'll keep dreaming...
