all of the lord of the rings movies...can't imagine how anyone sat through the extended versions
I love Hot Fuzz to death, but it feels a bit too long, which is a shame as it's towards the end that the action begins.

You should try it sometime. It is very exhausting, but also very rewarding.

I can't blame him. I have stayed away from POTC because of length issues

My friend wanted to have a LOTR marathon of all three extended editions. I was like "Are you mental..?!? That's about 10 hours straight."

Well, that's what I do. If you're gonna do something, do it right.

i work in the medical field...and the thought of anal fissures is just not that appealing to me...that's about the only reward i can see coming from watching 10 straight hrs of frodo & friends

What are you talking about?
i was being dramatic...actually if you were to sit in one position for an extended period of time...you're more likely to get a pressure sore/ulcer...ummm...anal fissures are a more common result of "big poop"...do an engine search for a more g-rated explanation...
While I appreciate the sarcastic, down-talking tone, I don't think that if I Google "Anal Fissures" or "Big Poop" I'll get a G-Rated explanation.
well...an anal fissure is a tear in the rectal muscle. the muscle that controls the size of your bung-hole. if you try and poop too fast or force a "hard" stool without relaxing...you can get an anal fissure. you can also get anal fissures from a "lifestyle" choice. they are also common for women giving birth.
But your DVD player does have a pause button, does it not?
I mean, there's no reason not to go to the bathroom when you need to.

Good GOD people!! What are you guys thinking!! I mean really...do we have to sit through all this?
The answer is really quite clear...(1) Portable DVD player...(2) Snacks and drinks...(3) Retire to the smallest room in the house...(4) Settle into position and enjoy...everything is catered for!
No pausing, no pain no "..anal fissures of the bung hole!"
As for the "lifestyle choice fissures"....well thats an other website entirely!

BAck to the topic. When your at the movies and your seeing a long movie you don't have the luxary a PAUSE or FAST FORWARD button
I'd say King Kong was too long... the beginning was very boring.
40 yr old virgin was great but I missed it in the cinema and the DVD version is at least 20mins too long.
POTC 3 - about 90mins too long.
Spiderman 3 - 30 mins too long.
Seen that Transformers is 2h23m. Hope that doesnt feel too long.
