What Movie Would You Recast?
I was pretty disappointed by the Fantastic Four.  The Spider-Man movies have been very well done, but they were just about perfectly cast---Tobey Maguire even looks like an old John Romita Spider-Man drawing.  I think some recasting, along with a Spider-Man quality screenplay, could have helped the FF.  I could live with Gruffudd and Chiklis as Mr. Fantastic and The Thing, but I would have cast Sue and Johnny Storm a bit differently.  I would have cast Jessica Simpson as Sue Storm and Seann William Scott, Stifler from American Pie, as The Human Torch.  I especially think Scott would have been a hoot as the Torch!  Johnny Storm was always a joker in the comics and Scott would have brought that dimension to the character.

The entire cast to Jacksons King Kong is totally wrong. Not that i'd remake the original movie in the first place, but no one except maybe andy sirkus fit in their parts.

You know, I didn't think it would have been possible to make the Fantastic Four any worse, but you have found that combination!

I would recast Jessica Alba's role in Sin City with ANYONE, regaurdless of race, sex or age, they couldn't possibly have been worse. Hell, let Tarentino do it.

Adrian - Simpson and Scott would have been great in those roles!  At the very least they would have had some screen presence.  The Dukes of Hazzard may not have gotten good reviews, but more than one critic said they were surprised with Simpson's performance and Scott is a very entertaining actor.

well anything with "Tom Cruise" I never have liked him. He plays the same part which is an self-centered sob who learns the errors of his ways by the last 10 minutes of the movie

The only way that Jessica Simpson works in this movie is if her power only allows her to turn her clothes invisible while the rest of her stays visible.  Her "performance" in Dukes of Hazzard was little more than that of most women's in 80s Hair Metal Videos!

Adrian-  See that?  We're not that far apart on this casting suggestion!  Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!

Jim Carrey would have made a superior Darrin in "Bewitched." The script should have remained faithful to the original premise.

I liked the casting of Chris Evans as Johnny and Michael Chiklis as Ben in "The Fantastic Four." But Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba and Julian McMahon were very badly miscast. I think Hugh Laurie would have been great as Reed Richards and Jason Statham would have made a much more formidable Doom while Kathryn Morris (Cold Case, CBS) would have nailed Sue Storm.
