I've bought a whole bunch to distribute as Christmas presents, but I got the recent 4-disc Ben-Hur box from WB off of Amazon for only $17, so I took a chance and watched it for the first time. What an AMAZING film. It's probably the most epic one I've ever seen. Now I know what all those movies and directors were trying to copy over the years.

Poppy, I've got no problem with banning you as well. As I pointed out earlier, I won't tolerate visitors being rude to the admins or contributors. We work long and hard on this site, and don't expect to have to put up with rudeness from people who contribute little or nothing. It's entirely up to you, but it's zero tolerance from now on because I've had more than enough of it.

Fair enough I respect that but found your 'slapping a few people' quite an arrogant statement as it was uncalled for..

I think what's Poppy is trying to say is that you don't have to give out all the other details like where you got your new purchases from i.e. dvd region, country, shop, etc. No body cares about that, unless you're like me, and you get Region 1 discs two weeks early!

A loaf of bread
A quart of milk
A stick of butter

Satisfied?

No, he is saying "Don't post! No one wants to know what you bought!"   I'm with Tony on this one, I'm really sick of all the spam that's come through the site in recent months. Can't anything be done about it?

Last Bought: Superman 14 Disc Collection

Never heard of a quart before, had to look that one up... assumed it would mean a quarter of one pint or litre.

It's usually a shock to the system if you're from the UK and you do some food shopping in the US. Am I right in saying the quart equals a quarter gallon of milk? They're huge. So is the fruit over there. Apples are massive. About the size of what we would have as cooking apples over here. It's definately true what they say. Everything is bigger over there. Except elbows. They're generally the same size.

Aye, not sure on the exact proportions, but a gallon is more than a quart I believe. A quart is a litre to me, just easier to say I suppose Tongue

Why have you no sense of humor.

Well Mr. Spammer, think you will need some new spamming techniques. Really low to spam here, or anywhere else for that matter.

Which Jekyll and Hyde?  And also, have you seen some of the titles on your list already? Because a few are a bit odd (IMO) if you have. Like Wicker Man, Lady in the Water, All the Kings Men. Like, just curious y'know, I find them odd because I've seen them and don't really think they're worth owning. Well maybe LitW (might invest in that when cheap cheap cheap) but I was just wondering. Nothin' wrong with owning them of course WinkTongue

I don't normally post in this thread but in the spirit of getting it back on topic and ignoring Poppy (which I urge everyone to do until he/she or it is banned) I just got the Star Wars Original Trilogy.

Waiting until the end of their limited release window paid off slightly as they were reduced in price.
