Sorry Tony, I meant the Disc error sucks, but I did like the movie.  I don't agree with Ebert for being one of the worst movie of 2005

I thought it was great too. My favorite part was the first person shooter and when I saw it in theaters with friends, we had one hell of a time.

Jeesh! You guys buy a whole load of tosh!

I try to hold off and only buy DVDs that I know I like and will re-watch. I learnt my lesson when I sold off all my VHS and realised it was a massive bunch of rubbish. I vowed not to waste my cash on c**p again.

I try to apply that same criteria as well. Am I going to watch this again? Assuming I can get something for them, I try to have a cull 2 or 3 times a year to thin out the collection because very often I look at it an see that there ends up being quite a lot of durge in amongst the stiff you actually want to keep and watch again. Plus, with one eye on HD in the future, I don't want a massive redundant collection to off load, like VHS. I'm just in the process of transferring my remaining VHS to DVD (about 20 odd tapes mostly of old TV) and once that is done it's to the land fill. I can't stand the feeling of boxes of unwatched unused 'plastic' lying around. It's like a great weight is lifted when you can get rid of it. The Fight Club quote is absolutely bang on in my view, 'The things you own end up owning you'. So I try to keep the DVD collection at around the 300 mark. If I'd have kept everything it would be up at around 1500 titles which for me is insane. When a collection starts taking up a room it's time to re-assess what's important in life. But that's me. In somone like Tony's shoes, if I had the means, I'd be buying tons of stuff as well. I know this because I bought loads of VHS back in the day, and enjoyed it. There does come a time though when all you see is a huge mass of plastic that you have to house, keep in order and move around with you.

Anyone else in this love hate relationship with their collection?

I can do the same, from my friend who gets Region 1 DVD's anywhere up to two weeks before you guys! DVD warehouses/ suppilers in America actually have all the new releases two weeks in advance, ready for shipping to customers overseas!!

I got "The Weather Man" two weeks before the release date.
Last week, I bought "North Country" and "Elizabethtown".
This week, I bought "Yours, Mine & Ours".
My next purchases within two weeks are "Prime", "History Of Violence", and "Walk The Line".

Don't buy much nowadays, but I just ordered the Korean SEs of Joint Security Area and Azumi. Before that I have to think back to Christmas, when I bought the new Jurassic Park and Back to the Future boxed sets in the sales.
