Somebody must be buying them because it's been going on for years.

They make them because they are cheap and they attract the eye of Joe Movie Renter at Blockbuster and almost always make their production budget back.  They are like penny stocks.  You don't have to make much on them to make a profit.

And you forgot the infamous, American Pie:  Band Camp with only Eugene Levy from the original cast.

Finch isn't listed in the credits anywhere and Sherman is near the end which leads me to believe it is just a cameo.

Well, they are making House of the Dead 2.  How can one of the worse movies mad in the last decade get a sequel?

Last night, I watched American Pie: Band Camp, and it wasn't that bad of a DTV. Surely, it wasn't as great as the other ones. But, it was well enough just to kill some time.

The only DTV films I end up buying are the Hellraiser sequels, and even then I am dissappointed each time. I believe it is time to end that series.

The problem is that they are making money.  They are so cheap to produce that it doesn't take much for them to turn profit.  So you will see more Hellraiser, Prophecy, etc. sequels in the future.

Very scary Bob.  I haven't rented the newest ones yet.  I'll probably pick them up sometime at Blockbuster, though I doubt they will be worth it.
