What's your perfect movie soundtrack?
I'm not talking traditional score here, rather the film with the most fitting soundtrack. I think Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Trainspotting are perfect examples of a soundtrack being used to enhance the film. Donnie Darko is another, as is Fight Club. There are loads (far too many to mention), so which are your favourites?

Donnie Darko (post punk at it's best... Joy Division,Echo and The Bunnymen,Tears For Fears,The Church, and I beautiful haunting score)
24 Hour Party People (just watch it, the story of Factory and it's band and the best band ever... Joy Division)
Grosse Pointe Blank (just wonderful with great songs and a great dark comedic opening song)

Yep I have to agree with Chris on a few of them.
And it might be just me but I really liked the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack, seeing some of my favorite songs being made into remixes.

the SOAP soundtrack almost ruined the greatness of that flick, awful soundtrack
For me it's AMERICAN GRAFFITTI.
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE also had a pretty good mix (everything from Harry Connick Jr. to Jimmy Durante).

i realy realy enjoy "Corpse Bride" soundtrack..love Elfman work....masive. 
also the ST from "Gone in 60 Seconds" if great...great to listen in the car.

I thought Graham Reynolds' score and Radiohead's songs used for A Scanner Darkly were absolutely amazing, really fit the mood of the film. in terms of recent films, I also really liked the soundtrack for Garden State as well, but my favorite soundtrack is probably High Fidelity, and for nostalagia, Highlander.

I wouldn't classify RENT as a traditional score, but it is original music, so I'm not sure if it classifies, but that's a great one too.

If it has a traditional score it doesn't qualify. I'm talking about films with great 'songs' in them. American Psycho has a killer soundtrack (if you'll forgive the pun).

My favourites are Dazed and Confused, Donnie Darko and Garden State. It's a shame rights issues mean legal versions of these sorts of soundtracks are often incomplete.
the cool thing is in the UK, the Darko soundtrack is basicly complete for one song that isn't even that good but you get Echo,Joy Division,Tears For Fears,The Score,The Church and Mad World so it's awesome
Somewhere in time's score is amazing and enhances the film 100% Couldn't watch it without it. oh and Back to the Future, Braveheart, Signs etc

However, the BTTF Soundtrack is an awesome compilation of 80s music. It IS hip to be a square.

For 60's music you cant go past "The Big Chill" and "Forest Gump".
The "Spawn" soundtrack, a good mix of metal and electro-beats, each song is a colaboration between two bands. Filter/Crystal Method colaboration "Trip Like I Do" being a highlight. Not a great film though.
