I also, just got mine today (all the way from California). It was worth it.
I just recieved the R1 SE from amazon. Beautiful digipak with a really nice booklet, I haven't watched the extras yet, but the introduction is very informative, and the A/V quality is excellent.
Anyone know what's happening with the R2 UK edition. I keep seeing that there seem to be some featurettes on the disc on some sites and not on others. Plus It's not clear if the extras are present whether it's a 2 discer.

You'll be waiting a long time. Seriously, if past history is any thing to go buy, the multi disc sets where there is also something less available rarely go down in price or sale for cheap used.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a Limited Edition?
Actually, it does. The way they are marketing these, ala Cinderella Man and Jarhead, is to pretty much preorder them because they go out of stock immediately. This insures that you are paying maximum price for them. If they keep issuing them, retailers will eventually discount them.

Good news and bad news. Bad news is that demand for the "Munich" Limited Edition exceeded Universal's supply. That is why the stock is currently out of print. No need to worry, according to Digitalbits.com, the Limited Edition will be back on shelves when Universal make more later this year.
Here...
Speaking of Universal, we've been getting reports from readers that the studio's Munich: Limited Edition is MIA in stores. Indeed, it seems no longer to be available from Amazon.com. We've got inquiries into the studio as to what's up with the release and we'll let you know when they get back to us. You can, however, still widely find the movie-only version in stores (and online) if you prefer it. [Editor's Note: We've learned that the 2-disc version hasn't been cancelled and it isn't defective. "Munich" is a very good movie I saw it once that was enough.

I can back that. I phoned the HMV and they said that it was, and I quote the person on the phone "Discontinued in Canada, we can't order any, They must've changed their minds."
I love it, we can't get our covers the way we like 'em, we can't get the editions we want. What next? CanaDVDa, the Canadian DVD experience, eh.
Well, I'm sorry for that last rant, just thought I would let my fellow Canadians know.

I have to say that I'm not too impressed by the Cinderella Man, Jarhead, and Munich trio as a rare set. I've seen 2 of the 3 (the missing one being Munich) at my Best Buy just yesterday on the shelves. Now if you told me you had Transformers The Movie....

I hate to brag too, but I have all three of Cinderella Man CE, Jarhead 2 disc CE, and Munich 2 disc LE. Living in the city that I do, I must be lucky, dvds don't sell out to fast. Heck, my BB still has two copies of the Cinderella Man CE in stock. I even have them all three together on the shelf in a row

DeepDiscount sent me an email today that mine had shipped. Hopefully, I get it.

Munich: LE was shipped today!!
So now I have all, Cinderella Man: Collector's Edition, Jarhead: Collector's Edition and now Munich: Limited Edition
So incase, one day i'm running out of money, putting all 3 on eBay would do me justice then lol
Go Digipak and Limited Edition!! I think the fact that they're rare made those much more 'collectable' !!!
ooo.....god damn you hipi...wrrr

What about Walk The Line?
In case anyone is interested, Walk The Line is coming out on 2 Disc in Region 4, if you missed out in Region 1.

out off print again on Amazon....next time it'll be availible I WILL be there

I guess they are starting to figure out that genuinely limited releases bring an element of quality - they sell quickly and at a full preorder price (means distributor makes loads, retailer makes next to nothing).
It's one of the reasons I have only purposely bought limited editions from Korean and Hong Kong retailers where distributors regularly do runs of a couple of thousand. I often see these sorts of titles going on ebay for several times their original value.

DeepDiscountDVD.com is now out of stock as well. For people in the US, try bestbuy.com to locate a store near you that has the DVD.

Can't you just ask one of ur friend to buy for you?
problem is that non of my friends have credit card..so I can't....

emmm...well, doesn't some shop in Poland sell R1 DVDS
In Thailand loads of shop imported R1, R4 DVDS...like loads, but the point is Universal Collector's Edition are all not available since it's so rare they couldn't order it in time...
That means universal only targeted to sell 1-disc, 2-disc is very limitedly produced...
So try eBay, some take cheque...

I already got mine today!
I bought mine at DeepDiscountDVD. Best Buy got 2 and I missed out.
At the present moment it becomes available on Amazon again...
God knows, for how long?
I'd say if you want it, be quick!!

I'd take DVD Empire with a grain of salt. Several times, I have tried to order discs that were either out of print or going out of print from them and they always reported "On Order" (like they currently are for the 2 disc Munich set) and they never filled the orders. I am not sure why they do this, as they don't charge you for it. You won't lose anything, but are not very likely to get the DVD either.
DVD Empire, still can pre-order ... ?!?!
DeepDiscountDVD.com still has it listed as in stock, but no international shipping.
so..is there any Online store where I can buy The 2 Disk LE ????
i'd love to buy it..but it is out of print on AMazon.
ive ordered it as well off Amazon
whos gonna buy munich collectors edition?
im just curious as to who will buy it. As for me I just ordered it.
