I've already got a region-free player, that's why I ended up buying the R1 version. As for Play.com, they already printed two WRONG release dates last year, so I don't place much faith in them...but will certainly try and confirm 18th June. Regards.

If you can't wait, you could always pick up a region-free DVD player, probably for less than the disc itself!

Why is Forbidden Planet not out on Region 2 yet?
Does ANYONE know when an R2 release of this is due?  I've had to buy the admittedly brill. R1 version.  Oh, and where is my R2 Poltergeist and The Blob remake?  Ok The Blob remake may not be a classic, but it had a hell of a lot more fun moments than some of the crud that seems to happily clog up my local store's DVD shelves.  Perplexed...
