I was looking forward to the new X-Files movie...and then after the first 15-minutes I was just looking forward to driving home.
Couldn't stand the trailer, so never saw it and never will.
Did anyone go see this?
I thought it was a fine movie. As a fan I wasn't quite sure how I felt after seeing it, but after a second viewing I enjoyed it even more. Going to see it again soon.
Really looking forward to adding the BD to my complete collection. I just hope it makes enough cash so us real fans get another one.

What constitutes a real fan? I own all of the seasons on DVD and two copies of the feature film, watched the series from day one, and even stuck it out for that awful last season. Yet I thought the latest movie was a plodding bore that went nowhere--the only thing I liked about it was the cinematography which I thought was quite good. I'd like to see them do another film, but not if it's another lame effort like this one was--the biggest disappointment of the year thus far.

Hope you didn't think I was having a go Matt. I know myself from being on various fan boards that the movie has alienated (excuse pun) some XF fans.
When I said "real" I merely meant people who really want to see another movie. I've read where people have seen it 12 times trying to support it!!
You can be a fan and not own a single dvd aswell as Andrew stated. Of course we are all entitled to our opinions, I'm sorry you felt let down by it. Maybe when its out on Dvd/BD you can look at it with fresh eyes.

I'm a huge X Files fan but there was no excuse for how weak this was. Mulder and Scully were golden but there's barely even an X-file here. It was like a sub plot, which would have been okay IF the main plot was any good, which it really wasn't. This was really disapointing, especially considering the first half an hour or so hinted that they might just manage to bring this franchise back.
And the after the credits thing. What was that about?!

I iked the last movie, I just hope this one is better.
I love the X-files [i](however I don't own any DVDs yet), I wanted to get the whole set on DVD last year but it is quite expensive...
Fox and Apple teamed up too, they made Limited Edition X-files iPods.
They actually seem pretty cool, too bad I hate iPods...
