X-Men 3 DVD
Bought it today, and when I put it in my computer to watch it, it was under Stratford Bridge, yet to watch it though. Does anyone know what it stands for in the movie?

My video store gets titles the Thursday before they are released, certain titles you can buy, and this was one of them.

I beat you Tony. I got mine on Monday afternoon (while you guys were sleeping). Got the Collector's Edition. O.K. extras. R4 has more. I did not enjoy the movie as much as the other two. I was even surprised to find "Fast & The Furious - Tokyo Drift" three weeks before the Region 1 release date! This is one of those rare incident. I'm told that warehouses/ distributors fill the orders of retailers before they even fill customer orders. That is why retailers have new release DVD's officially one to two weeks before the release dates. International retailers use specialist couriers, so that is why I get the discs earlier from this store, compared to buying online, and yet we buy from the same company - DVDpacific(used to). Difference is that I get them two weeks after the release date.
So now I save money on interests and fees, by paying CASH. Yay!
Actually, my store could have got DVD's on Saturday, if there were customs officers working on weekends at the airport!

Sometimes the Wal*Mart in my area puts out the shippers holding new release DVD's on the sales floor so they can clean the warehouse......when they do this, I rip open the top of the box and buy it early.....sneaky....sneaky

Certain online retailers (I know of at least two) tend to ship titles weeks before their release date. We rely on them when we have to cover big titles but I probably shouldn't mention them in case they get into hot water about it. 
The way things are going, we could probably have a region 1 DVD reviewed by someone located in the UK before a major studio thinks about sending out the review material.

I've only purchaed one DVD early (Adventures of Superman: seasons 3 and 4), when Wal-Mart put it out 4 days early. It was the only time I've seen them do it.
I liked X-men 3 more than the first movie but not as much as X2. I considered buying the Collector's Edition but I'm going to wait for the 2 disc SE instead.

As you might remember I got mine more than a week ago (September 21st) so I got it first. (and I live in Sweden!) I made some scans of all the artwork for the R1 Collector's Edition in another thread. I'm still going to have to wait for the 2-disc edition to be released as I actually have to wait for the street date for the swedish release (October 4th). Is that not funny? That I can get the R1 release before people that live in the US can get it, but I have to wait for the street date for the R2 release?

Of course you get them first Chris. You guys have to review the damn disc for us who might buy it anyway, right? But are you talking about the Collector's Edition? Because some distributors only send the single disc editions of movies before they get the 2 Disc set. For example, United 93 single disc edition was the only edition that got delivered to my specialist DVD store in Sydney. There are many other titles like this where the 2 Disc sets/ Limited Edition of movies don't get delivered until the week of release. Has anyone ever encountered this situation, where you got to a DVD store to find only the single disc edition available and the 2 Disc not yet released until the week after.
There is no single disc edition in the UK, but my comment was intended to poke fun at the pissing contest aspect of this thread.

I have a question too. Why is is that the barebones is listed for release one week (3rd Oct.) before the Collector's Edition (10th Oct.)? Strange.
The R3 is two-discs and has the comic.
