Ugh, the news on this just keeps getting worse and worse. Beast looks mega campy. I suppose the Angel pics aren't bad...maybe Ratner will just end up ripping off Singer's style in the end. That would be a saving grace, because I haven't liked a single Ratner films yet. Seriously, how do you mess up Red Dragon? That was a slam dunk! It was so dull it hurt.
X3 teaser
Watch it and fill your pants. It looks wicked. And Gabe, what? campy? Beast looks insane.
I don't like Ratner's work, but it looks like the established material will more then carry this one.

It sounded pretty good. I'll see it when it is released.

I loved the first two. I am afraid that this may be a let down. I will go see it, and face my fears, nonetheless.
I have to think X-Men 3 will be quite a let down. Bryan Singer is awesome. Brett Ratner, no so much. Beast does look pretty campy. He would have probably been better off as a CGI voiced by Kelsey Grammer. Also, Juggernaut doesn't look right.
I can't get the trailer to work here at work. The photo still of Beast looks VERY campy, like verging on Batman and Robin, or maybe he fell out of the tornado from OZ.

Jean Grey
No its not jean grey. The beast was not there when jean died!
Jean dies and become the Phoenix.....hopefully
I think it is quite likely that the funeral is Jean Grey's before she comes back as the Phoenix.
I know it would involve WAAAAAY to much backstory but id love to see them put Bishop, Cable, and Deadpool in
Absolutly no offense meant, Rob, but I always hated Cable and Bishop. Their current back sotry wouldn't work too well for the movies because it'd bee too much like all the other time traveling movies already out there. If they were featured, they'd probably be very different.
So far as Deadpool goes, I've heard he's getting his own film, Avi Arid's discribing it as a Sci Fi movie rather than a super hero movie.
Personally I could go for another Punisher flick, especially if Jane came back, they set it in New York, and followed the Ennis "Welcome Back Frank" story even more closely. I smell another thread...

Dang, I still haven't watched the second one yet...

They are in the process of making another Punisher and they are making a SE of the dvd. Jane is coming back as Punisher as well.

Mr. Flix, your DVD collection isn't working right. And you have your active code disabled.

Seriously, X men 2 may very well be the best comic book adaptation ever, which makes the inevitable averageness of this coming sequel even more upsetting.

If they do make a Deadpool movie, they'd be wise to stick it on the Sci-Fi Channel. Not a major character/candidate for the big screen. And besides, not all of their characters are suitable for the big/little screen. When will they learn?
The recent Swamp Thing movie, a DC product, was AWFUL! didn't they learn from the mistake that was the 80s movie? I guess not.
Cable and Bishop are okay characters. Bishop has become one of my favorite members of the team. If they ever put his character in a movie, I hope that either Ving Rhames or Michael Jai White(Spawn)plays the role.

As for it being a let down, I wouldn't necessarily say that. We're all making assumptions off of a teaser trailer, albeit a good teaser trailer. LOL
Brett has to step up his game after that great movie that was X2, but I think he might pull it off because he makes a good action movie. Maybe it will be better, maybe not. I don't foresee it doing badly though.
You are right about one thing though...Juggernaut looks awful! But I kinda figured his costume would after hearing they had an actor to portray him, a not so big guy at that. I would've thought they'd go CG with that character, like they did with the Hulk. It's the only way you can pull off his feats of strength, unless they don't plan on making him so strong.

I may be making assumptions but it isn't based on the teaser trailer, but the fact that they didn't keep Singer as the director. Brett Ratner is no Bryan Singer!

I just don't get how everyone piles up on poor Brett Ratner. He doesn't have that many feature films under his belt yet and they were far from awful. I enjoyed Red Dragon even when compared to the superior theatrical version of the novel, "Manhunter."

Red Dragon was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Hannibal.

Wasn't that Man-Thing, the Marvel character? (or did I miss something beyond that silliness?)
That said, the Swamp Thing TV show (live action) was quite good and fairly close to being in keeping with... well the Len Wein/Bernie Wrightson Swampy. Alan Moore's wouldn't translate too well.

I think Ratner has showed no creative voice of his own in a single one of his films. And for the record, I liked Hannibal way more than Red Dragon, at least it was entertaining, Red Dragon was so blah.
Hey at least Ratner hasn't told his cast--to my knowledge--not to read comics for fear that they'll come out with a 2d character.
For that c**p alone Bryan Singer should be banned from comic-based movies
(especially after the comparative new portal into the second dimension that was the horribly character-raped Lady Deathstrike of X2...)
...though the look of Juggernaut is not exactly, uh, getting me all excited about seeing it.
PS: Hannibal makes me depressed everytime I remember Ridley Scott was involved. What a waste.
