The link in your sig is broken. Oh, and Blu-ray isn't DVD
So people can actually win these competitions for real then '
Well it would be an awfully long thread if everyone listed their entire collections of BDs. I know there are members on here with several hundred titles, some probably have close to a thousand.
Just a thought.
Here's my collection: http://www.blu-ray.com/community/collection.php...

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (Japanese release Dolby TrueHD 7.1)
Wall-E (2-disc)(US release)
Will probably get The Dark Knight US BD sometime this week. Hopefully, that is...
Might get Wanted and Hancock...

Okay, I have to ask, why would you buy two versions of Prince Caspian?
Cos he's the owner of the biggest narnia collection in the world
My eyes filtered that out. Still though, lot of money for what are essentially the same things.
Well, there's a problem with dialogue being lower than the rest of the sound on the Swedish BD, which has DTS HD Master Audio 7.1. Hopefully, there won't be a problem with the Japanese disc. Also, that one has the original theatrical poster artwork on the cover, something that's always positive.
I'm still not done with collecting DVD's and BDs for Prince Caspian though.

Got it for the Slip Cover really (matched other Pixar BD), and it's the same price with the 2-Discer on Amazon anyway, so it's all good lol.

I'd say only get SD when it's not available on BD really. There are a lot of great films out there that didn't get HD treatment, Snow Angels as the most recent example.

Just to give you New Yorkers a heads up... there's various small dvd retailers now stocking the Dark Knight on Blu-ray.
I picked up a copy tonight

Can anyone tell me approximately how many br-dvds there are currently?
None. Blu-rays aren't DVDs (completely different technology), and the initialisation is BD, not BR.
As for how many there are, haven't got a clue. Sorry.

Chris is right. Blu Rays ARE NOT DVD's. It's still a disc though, but completely different technology.

There's absolutely no way that's every BD released since 2006. I did a quick check and stopped after five that aren't on there.

He has a region A BD player?
Yup. It is so easy to import it, and the last time I checked, he bought a Sony Playstation 3 from Japan, I think.
Just Received these today...

When you watch Sin City, take a look at the scene where Lucille is in Kevin's basement. DO the walls behind her seem to pulse and move? The Canadian BD has i-frame pulsing in this scene.
Michael Friedrichsen wrote: How can you watch Wall:E US edition it is region locked, so is prince caspian? My blu-ray player is region free, it says so in my signature as well.
๋Just tested that scene with Lucille and Marv in Kevin's basement. I can't see anything out of ordinary with the wall...
It's pretty tricky to spot unless you're stood near to the TV or have a massive screen. Of course it could be that the encode on the Jap disc is better, which you'd hope is the case.

Mark Lim wrote: Now that Blu Ray is the norm around here, I thought we would list our Blu Ray DVD Collection here. I'm so lucky to have a brother, who won a competition recently, from a major gadget magazine online, and received a brand new Sony Blu Ray SBP-550, along with the following titles FREE...
Ghost Rider
Juno
The Patriot
Starship Troopers: Marauder
Transformers 2 Disc SE
i feel bad for your brother winning those titles on blu ray ;-)

I know. Sony and Pioneer always give away s**t movies with their Blu Ray Disc and DVD Players, when they first come out. But Transformers here is an only exception, which me and my brother enjoyed very much.
Oh and if any of you fans overseas who want info on New Blu Ray Titles as to whether they are region free or region locked, feel free to ask me here. My store gets new releases one to two weeks in advance and can check straight away. Just found out today that the new film "Traitor" from Overture is Region Locked.
