I've become a fan of the "less is more" school lately. Stuff like Kobain's 'In Bloom' solo, the solo on The Cars' 'It's Magic', just about anything by Neil Young. I use to be all about the speed, but now that I can do it it doesn't interest me as much. I also dig the super simple slide solo on Tom Petty's 'Learning to Fly'.

... don't play guitar... but dig Tom Petty.  He's opening a tour here with Stevie Nicks coming up... trying to get tickets to it.

So are you in a band, Gabe?

I was in a band in highschool. 3 in fact, but only one had regular gigs. These days I just play for my computer. I'm going to get a new Mac so I can record drums cos I finally got a set in the basement now. It'd be nice to see Petty, but it's just too damned expensive for me.
