Chris, any news on this as yet?
Probably in a news item, but I'm not sure yet.
I have one question, if I may? When you do announce the decision, will you announce it here in the forums, or via the threads off of the "home" link?
I'm in the US so that clears a lot up. I hadn't realized how much you guys have to truck through. I've also read your reviews for a long time so the criteria wasn't difficult to meet. And people asking how much the job pays?? It's paying in movies, I don't understand why someone would want money also- It's not exactly the job to make a living off of.
It was actually really easy for me to send in my review because I've watched both dvds of The Mist numerous times and I just took notes. I just adore watching dvd material and was disappointed thinking I was lost in the shuffle and didn't even get a reply! Thanks so much.

We can't reply to everyone who applied individually, it would take too long. We haven't even begun to look at US reviewers yet either. We'll be contacting individuals we think would bring something to the site as and when we have made a decision, but to be truthful not that many people followed our simple guidelines.
We had a lot of applications from outside of the UK and US (where we can't ship review material, hence the reason we specified the countries). We also had a lot of people asking how much the 'job' pays, when it's clearly stated that it's a voluntary position/hobby. Some people didn't pay any attention to the criteria specified in the article, so we got a lot of movie reviews with no mention of the DVD side of things (not much use to a DVD site). Some people emailed asking us to reply if we wanted them to submit a review(!?!). Wading through submissions of this nature has slowed the whole process down.

I sent my sample reviews in and never even heard back. Has anyone heard back?
