"More action?" Well, there could hardly have been any less! For the fact this was supposed to be some kind of huge action film I found it sorely lacking. Unless you count John Cena running about a lot and driving a fire engine as the epitome of action.
Plus, not only is the plot a rip off of, "Die Hard With A Vengeance," but the main action, "set-piece," involving an out of control cable car is ripped off from an old Eddie Murphy movie called, "Metro!" And badly too! Plus the darn thing is barely moving yet no one chooses to jump off the blasted thing!
I don't know what trailer aired for it in the States but you could just save yourself the expense of buying/renting this load of old twaddle and simply check out the one that aired here in the UK because it gave away the ending!

Blu-ray artwork added. Sorry for the delay!
Maybe I will see it when a friend lends it too me....was not very impressed on Cena's first effort

S**tty cover art too.
I did. I saw in theaters. Not bad, but nothing special. I'd say rent it.

the marine was awful!
so i catch this on cable someday...

I looks like he was about to shoot someone and then a fan screamed "JOHN CENA!".
Basically a rehash of "Die Hard 3" without the f-words. Watched it only for the British villain -- an actor called Aidan Gillen. He's fabulous, the movie itself is action-packed but ruined by shaky camera angles and too-extreme close-ups (it's hard to tell what's going on in action scenes).
Will rent, and wait for the DVD to go on sale.

OMG that was quick! I might see the marine and then think about this. BTW, WHERE'S THE BLURAY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Cena's mess of a film called The Marine still burns.
Cant stand Cena.
Saw this at the theaters and I enjoyed it,so I will pick this up.
I'll pick it up based on the fact that Harlin directed The Long Kiss Goodnight, which is my favorite underrated action movie.
I still kinda wanna see this, just for the novelty of seeing Tommy Carcetti from The Wire (Aiden Gillen) playing an over-the-top action movie supervillain.....

This movie was such garbage. Cena can't act to save his life, or anything. I loooove the cover art tho, cuz it looks like a straight-to-DVD title, which this should have been.
This movie was boring. The action, while being well filmed and well done, harkening back to an era when you could see what was going on, still bored the c**p out of me. I wish I could get the $5 I paid for this back. Definitely won't be watching the "extreme cut".
I also liked The Marine, but because of it's ridiculousness. This had none of that. The only positive being the villain.

When I owned my video store (which I'm opening back up in August) The Marine was a big time renter. I'm sure this would be too.
heh knew there would be an "Unrated cut" and I will eventually pick this up like "The Marine" because of the Foywonders riviews.
How could this movie get any more "Extreme"? Renny Harlin is the man!
I am glad were starting to see solid action films make a comeback BUT this one kinda missed the mark. Like others said Cena just isnt quite there on the acting level. At least arnold and the others had some fun with their roles same with bruce willis.

The only saving grace of that movie was Robert Patrick hamming it up by channeling a Travolta-style villain (think Face/Off or Broken Arrow). Real top grade, B-movie schlock (no sarcasm intended)

Missed my chance to see this in theaters. I saw State of Play instead. This is a definite rental for me. Here's to hoping for Blu-Ray!
Died on its backside theatrically in the U.S. (perhaps they should've put, "more action," in it rather than waiting for the DVD) and out here in the U.K. theatrically on 27th May..... and on DVD around mid-June if this is anything to go by.
This movie looks so badass, but i never got to see it. I'll probably rent it; looks like a fun action flick.
It's coming over here in the UK theatrically. Oddly Fox sold it as one of their big three tentpole movies for this year at the Wolverine press screening, and I must say, that apart from ol' Scooby Doo features John Cena, it looked like decent action guff. Plus, it seems like Renny Harlin has got his action mojo back.
Definitely a rental. I actually enjoyed The Marine even though Cena isn't a good actor.

S**tty cover art too.
it played in theaters here, but it lasted like one or two weeks if that.
cena should just make a movie with mark whalberg so i can be assured they aren't the same person.
