Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc and 2-disc special editions of 21 which stars Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Laurence Fishburne, and Kevin Spacey. The Robert Luketic directed film will be available to own from the 22nd July. Each will carry an anamorphic widescreen presentation and English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. No extra material will be included on the 1-disc. The 2-disc will include a filmmaker commentary, and 3 featuretes (21: The Advantage Player featuring the cast of "21", Basic Strategy: A Complete Film Journal, Money Plays: A Tour of the Good Life). A Blu-ray release will also be available with an additional "21" Virtual Blackjack Game. We've attached the official artwork below:

I knew it. They would use a dumb 2-disc.
It looked really entertaining, thanks in large part to the sexy Jim Sturgess, whom I've loved since seeing him in Across The Universe. Will definitely rent it.
This was a big hit, so the 2-disc isn't surprising. Decent enough flick, it kept me entertained.
I liked this movie. Jim Sturgess is smexy as hell, and he can act!

he definitely is pretty damn sexy, especially in across the universe. his acting was far superior in across than this film. did anyone think that his american accent seemed a little forced in this film? i didn't think it was believable at all.

This was a really good movie, and much much better than I expected. It's slick, well acted, moves along at a nice clip and has a killer soundtrack. A no brainer sale for me. I rated the film 8/10.

Across The Universe was an embarrassment. John Lennon & George Harrison are lucky they didn't live to see their work raped like a little Boy Scout....
That said, Jim Sturgess is pretty cool with a bright future....

Not to be a protester but I have to anyway. For a 2-disc it's a bit light handed just an audio commentary and 3 featurettes that's something you can find on a 1-disc DVD. I'm tired of the one disc haven't no extras because it isn't fair to pay $20 for just the movie. Sweeney Todd, 1408, The mist, AVP-R actually had enough extras for a 2-disc. Plus what happened to the just 1 disc with tons of extras and a decade later a 2-disc.

Man, I wanted to see this but never got around to it. This question is for those who has seen the movie, how's the movie?
Yeah, I'm freaking tired of 1 disc now having no extras and 2-disc having extras where you can find it in the past 1 disc DVDs....greed.

Didn't really dig this flick- it wasn't bad, just really, really forgettable
Haven't got a chance to see this, don't think it's in the theatre yt here. Ah will just get the BD then!
I still enjoy the fact that the book repeatedly notes that part of the reason they got away with it was they were ALL Asian and Asians were less suspect in Vegas.

I thought it was a great tribute. Such a fun, trippy experience, and really underrated. It's my favorite musical.

You know! I saw ads for this movie, it didn't look all that good.

This really was an entertaining movie, but not much else. For what it was, I liked it a lot, but not enough to go blu.
They should have just grouped the extras on one disc instead of having it for the two disc. I don't like this trend.
I thought this was a pretty entertaining flick up until the last five minutes where they wrap EVERYTHING up with a nice tight bow. It got a bit laughable, which was a shame cause the first 100 minutes were great! Without going into spoilers for those who haven't seen this yet, does anyone else agree? I'd post a "blackout" that you'd need to highlight to see what exactly I'm talking about, but I don't know how to do that. Sorry!
