NICE! I love the artwork. So this thing's coming out pretty much as soon as the show ends? That's a first for "24" - usually, they wait until right before the next season starts...
I was hoping this would include the TV movie "Redemption", looks like it will have to be a separate purchase after all :-(

That's really odd how this comes out about a week before the season ends.
The 2 hour season finale is on 5/18, this comes out the day after.
I'd buy it just for the art...and because I have all the other seasons. Nice cover.
so it comes out one day after the finale airs?
well damn, might as well wait the extra day and watch it when you buy it. lol

Ah, well I'm finding it listed as both 5/18 and 5/25. But I'm more liable to believe the 5/18 date.

God I love 24, always have always will. I even loved Day Six which I know divided fans. I only just completed my collection, minus Redemption. And looking at the price of the BD set on Amazon I might be tempted to get it on Blu, if its Reg B.
Then once I get Redemption on 2 Disc I will start at the beginning from Day 1 and go right to the end. In some ways its a hard show to rewatch because you can't just pick any episode. You kind of have to watch the full 24 hours.

Huh, I guess FOX decided to release multiple TV sets extra early this year because Family Guy vol 7 is coming out in June instead of in the fall around the time of the premiere of the new season as well.
Anyway, I planned on watching this on DVD so I'm glad I don't have to wait until December to buy this.

24 has obviously gone downhill. The new season, from the little I've watched, seems like a huge improvement over season six however. It has an almost filmic quality now. Maybe it's because I've been watching it in high definition though. That baby torture thing was really weird and horrible though.
that was quick (probably due to the fact the season has been finished for months due to the long and interrupted production schedule due to the writer's strike).
Definitely rushed, little greedy on Fox's part - but what do you expect from 'em.
When you look at the calendar, even though this is released the day the season ends (the last day will be a 2-hour finale, as we all know) - this is a horrible idea. The DVD can potentially leak and the last episodes will be available on the internet before they've even aired.
Either Fox is all kinds of stupid or TVShowsOnDVD.com's article is inaccurate.

Obvious? To whom? Every critic and every viewer I know all agree that this season has been a complete success (so far).
The last few shows have been as rivetting as any from the early years. Take the opportunity to watch this season from the beginning and judge for yourself

Agreed with Stubby. I'm a die-hard 24 fan and I'd say Day 1 and 5 are the best made. As someone already mentioned, Day 6 divided fans and it was definitely a dip in quality compared to Day 5.
Having said that, Day 7 has been excellent and the last 4 episodes aired have been mind-blowing, Day 5-quality.

24 was great till monday it still good but wont be the same with out a certaint some one.
Season 7 wrapped production in December. Normally they finish production in early to mid-April, which is why the DVD's are normally released in December. They had plenty of extra time to work on the DVD's.
Also, some of you may not be aware but Jon Cassar, who has directed some of 24's best episodes, has left the series. This will be your last chance to hear his audio commentaries on this show.
And yes, Season 7 has been a success ratings-wise and creatively.

Why is it that whenever a studio decides to buck the typical release schedule for a DVD set or whatever, the word "greed" always comes up?
What does "greed" have to do with anything? They're going to make the same amount of money no matter when it's released. So what's the difference?
And why is "greed" even a bad thing? The objective of running a business is to make money. Plain and simple. People don't go into business just to "break even".

Cant wait for the Blu Ray of this defiantly the best series to date to many characters killed of though.
Well, just when I thought they couldn't get any quicker in releasing DVD's.
And to all those who gave up after Day 6, give it another go. Season 7 is fantastic, and 24 is back in excellent form. Season 6 sucked, but it seems like they've learned their lesson and elevated the quality once again.

Good artwork though, no corners with other heads but just Jack.
