Knowing me I'll buy it first but I've heard a lot of good things about this film.
Dreadful artwork for a dreadful film.
Movie's about as good as the book. I'm so buying this.

Quite simply because the film isn't good (in our opinions besides most critics, anyway).
That must explain the 7.0 average on IMDB (which is good) and the 68% tomatometer for the users which is also pretty good.
And actually, most critics DID like the film idiot. 52%. That would classify as a majority. So most critics did like the film. And who gives a s**t what critics have to say anyways?
First of all, there is no need to regress back to kindergarten and start shelling out inane, cookie-cutter insults. Secondly, IMDb users notoriously overrate many, many films that otherwise would be considered merely average at best. Thirdly, you obviously are confusing RottenTomatoes' page for the movie as it clearly has an overall approval rating of 52% which qualifies it a failing grade (68% user approval, true, but like IMDb you have to take that with a grain of salt). 64 of the 132-accounted-for-critics vastly disliked the movie and I have to agree with all of them wholeheartedly on this one (most of the majors gave "30 Days" a collective-thumbs-down).
Not the worst horror film of 2007 but certainly one of the most disappointing. Of course it does not matter in the end what any other audience member or critic thinks as everyone is different but my opinion of the film is just as valid as yours or anyone else's.
Overall, agreed.

I know surprising isn't it. Because Cursed is a vampire movie and that got unrated.

Horrible cover, the theatrical is simple yet has a bigger impact. I saw this theatrically and partly enjoyed it, i cant agree at all to the covers quote, most definetly not the most terryfing vampire movie ever made.
Heard people saying was bad walking out of the theater, i saw the ending and looked bad
I thought this movie coulda been way better. Nothing happened half the time and I felt like the whole movie took place in one night, rather than 30 days.
I really liked the flick, though it's not nearly as great as Slade's other film, HARD CANDY. How could it be though?
I will eventually buy it.

Can't wait to see it - at least it is slightly original with the 30 night thing???
The artwork is seriously horrendous! Not liking the blue thrown in and those pictures suck. Good to see it's coming out on PSP though...lol
Excellent!! Can't wait to own it. Very fresh take on the myth, very effective. However, the passing of the days felt rushed, and by the end of the movie, it felt like 1 week had passed, not 1 month. Not flawless, but quite good indeed. I hope they make a movie out of "30 DoN: Return to barrow"!

Can't believed how many people liked this. I thought it was freakin awful. The ending was a good laugh though.
I really liked this movie a lot. It wasn't particularly terrifying...or even scary, but it was very cool, and super stylish. I wasn't a fan of the ending though.
Maybe...Hollyweird needs to stop making horror movies...like forever because the last 15 years nothing but non-scary like this comes out!!!

yeah this film blew... and if this is any indication, the book must have sucked major ass as well.
ancient vampires so deadly, yet somehow so dumb that in all ages they've spent on earth have never managed to hear of alaska?... or how vampires shown chomping threw 10 people a minute somehow were supposed to make a population of 152 last more then 30 minutes let alone 30 days? .... and don't even get me started on josh harnett's brilliant idea to save the day.
"Blade II ending", rip off anyone?

I loved the movie. I actually kinda like the artwork. The poster would've been ten times better though.
What with all the haters lately? Anyway, terrible artwork. It's just too busy.

Good man.
Good man.
i love vampires but the movies always mess them up! passing on this trash.
Better than many films of this genre. Still, it's average.
No Extended Edition that makes the movie feel like it's taking place over the span of a month instead of just one night, eh? Pity.
I love the box art!! Blu Ray for me.

"Hard Candy" is a much better movie than this I'm afraid, Yoda3539. Give it a rent and see what you personally think though, obviously.

Fairly awful artwork for an ultimately mediocre film. Rental-worthy, at best.
One of the best horror movies to hit theater screens in a long time.
p.s. Sony, what the Hell is with that artwork! COME ON! Use the poster art for crying out loud!
I really don't think I've ever hated artwork this much

worst artwork ever.
bummed I missed this in the theater. Definitely pick it up on DVD.
Bring on the gore and the blood

The artwork sucks! Hartnett looks horrible on it. I wish they'd have just stuck to the poster art if this was the best they could do.
Poster artwork: B-
"The blend with black and red is incredible. Plus a vampire head. Very good for the poster.
Just wish the trailer looked better."

"Well at least it wasn't that stupid unrated banner. But the DVD artwork is worse than the theatrical poster. But it's OK.

I wasn't crazy about this movie, but it was entertaining and quite suspenseful. It's definitely a worthy rental.

They're only boring because they are done so often. Filmakers need to stay away from vampires for a while, on TV and in the movies.
Yeah, and that will happen just as soon as Trek writers stay away from time travel plot lines.

Thought it was as close to Templesmith's art as can be. Hope there will be a double-disc/unrated/special edition sometime soon....
really mad i missed this in theaters.
I loved the graphic novels but haven''t managed to see the film yet, so looking forward to it. But I do kinda agree that the whole vampire thing is becoming tedious, especially in the TV field. We don't have the traditional vampire in the castle thing anymore, we've tired out the cool urban vampire image. A new approach somehow?
Really liked that it stayed mostly true to the source! Can't wait to pick it up
This movie was terrible and extremely hilariously bad. Saw it once that was enough.
and sorry tom but the olden vampires were nothing but vicious savages and animals so it's not really "new".

I am really looking forward to this one and can't wait to watch it this winter. I hope we'll still have snow then.
great film. Really showed the vampires in a new way.
This film was very good. It was gory, atmospheric, and the vampires were actually original.

One of the best films of the year very gory which makes it even better.
Well... at least it tried. But I'll only give it a rent.
I'll give it a rent. Looked decent. I don't like vampires either. They don't interest me much.
Just wait, there'll probably be one eventually...
no unrated cut of the movie???
it was ok. wasnt really my cup of tea. im glad you all liked it tho!!! =]
Just read the book. Loved it. Looking forward to finally seeing the movie.
Missed it in theatres. Will definitely NetFlix it.
Think they will stick to the poster art for the DVD box or create something else?

Buying this. The first horror film in a while that I really liked.
I loved this. Cant wait to purchase it.

Vampires are not boring they just don't know how to make em scary anymore, Salom's Lot used to scared the s**te out of me and Nosferatu is still as creepy as ever.
Vampire are boring, so I pass.
This is the second time this year, that Ben Foster has amazed me with his acting prowess.
This was a great film. Will be picking this up without a doubt!
Totally dug this one. Even my dad who doesn't like anything enjoyed it.
It wasn't bad.
What annoyed me, was how the survivors kept moving around so freely, they sometimes just popped up in new houses.
Also towards the end, you had a vampire in pursuit and the next minute he's standing around as though nothing happened.

Awesome! I love the movie.
cool.
i liked this one a lot, it was so brutal and gory. as much as i like the way vampires are normally portrayed (buffy..dracula etc..) i really enjoyed seeing this take on them. seeing them as nothing but vicious monsters who tear you apart without even thinking.
its a little light on extras but these days, it seems most `non big`movies are.
