I have the HD DVD version and i'm pretty sure it was green screen and not blue screen, but why does it matter...

They should have subtitled this: THE HD DVD EXPERIENCE.
Never picked up the HD DVD. Will be picking this up then.

They actually used both blue-screen and green-screen backgrounds.

Nice, though maybe they should've put a background instead of the white plain background it has now, will pick this one up.
Okay, good thing I didn't pull the trigger on this one yet.....
I got the 'regular' edition for $15 for my bro, I'm not a big fan of the movie...
I cannot wait for the sequel. Nice to see they did something new for the cover.
I have 300 on DVD. I've been wanting to upgrade to Blu Ray for awhile so this is a definite buy. I think the only reason they used blue screen was because their red capes looked better in front of a blue screen.
Isnt this the third blu-ray release?
Where is the digital copy of the film?

yep....although i think this is just a simpler version of the 2nd release. because that one came in a big box with a big book and stuff. so its either a simpler or maybe just a smaller version since this has a book as well.
but yeah thats sad, already 3 blu-ray releases for the same movie within like 2yrs.

I got this on DVD, never picked up the first Blu version. I may have to pick this up and replace my VD.

It's a prequel actually, my bad. The Battle of Plataea perhaps.

Will be buying. I felt the first blu release was rather bare bones.
Funny thing about this film for me is that though I loved it the first time I saw it, subsequent viewings (all 5 of 'em) have left me feeling a little more bored each time. I'll keep my standard DVD as I really don't anticipate watching this again anytime soon....Summer's about to pounce so that means it's time to start saving for that 4th quarter blitz, anyway!

Well since digital copies are useless s**tstorms on the couch, I don't think they will put one out which makes this a perfect buy for me! (even though I have the DVD)

why Warner! first, for dvd they used their own "snapper" cases which were completely ugly and actually kept me away from buying certain movies. and now they decide the same thing with Blu ray with this coffee table book or whatever they are calling it.
Put the movie in a simple case please! i don't need a cardboard box with some pictures to hold my blu ray!

How many more releases are we getting? i`ll stick with my 2 disc dvd!
Sweet. Was holding off on the 300 BD for this. And the book packaging is just icing.
As for the sequel/prequel... that's f**king retarded. It's not 300 if it's not the Battle of Thermopylae, and what was great about 300 was that it was a small group in an isolated incident which they turned into an epic confrontation. And after 'The Spirit', I'm not sure that Frank Miller really knows what works cinematically anymore.

No, that box set was a DVD exclusive (unless you shop YesAsia and are willing to spend US$87.25 for the Japan version). This 2nd blu-ray release was supposed to be that box set. Instead, we're getting this regurgitated HDDVD.

This movie was also bad, Watchmen but a tiny bit better but not much. Face it, Dan Snyder is a retard.

Zach Snyder.
If you're gonna insult someone, at least get the name right.

A Freudian slip from a closet Redskins fan, perhaps?

Not really a step up from the stuff that is already out there. Not worth the double dip....
